Can't get Defender to work

Hey all.

Got stuck on the opening screen and can't seem to get past the adjustment stage. Pressed the F+ keys, but nothing.

Hi Jessariah,

As Barra said in his reply to you re: Qix

Some games require you to "reset" them to get past language or settings screens...

...press F4 and enter. (not F5)

Williams games e.g Robotron, Defender and Joust also require this.

Do this (press f4) and you should have 'Initial tests indicate Unit OK' message. And you're off!

If you have a laptop you might have to press FN+F4. Otherwise just F4.

i can't get joust to work.

f4 doesn't always get the game to start (not sure what does).

also, i can't get any coins, or get it recognize one player start at all6.6

i am using windows 8 and internet explorer.
