Atari 2600 Difficulty Switches?

Is there any way to change the difficulty switches for Atari 2600 games. I noticed a few that are stuck on Difficulty A which is expert.

If you are playing to submit a score as far as I know those are locked down on purpose.

If you are playing for fun, you can try Full mode and there you can change it to what you want.

Yeah I figured that but I played Squeeze Box yesterday and it was on difficulty B then when I played today its now on A. And in Oink! its on A. I have a score on this game which was on B before. Its not possible to get over 30,000 on A difficulty.

Edit : Also yesterday I did a Max score on Chopper Command. Just checked that game and now its set to black and white and its on difficulty A not B.

Re: Atari 2600 Difficulty Switches?

Unfortunately I can't help you w/ the difficulty switches, but I was the mod who watched and verified the Chopper Command score - nice work. My brother and I played our 2600 non-stop back in the day, and he could pull off the 999k, but I never could. Great game.

No problem bud I think I have figured it out. Ill be attempting 999,999 in Oink but its tough to do it with a Xbox 360 controller.
