N64 - Please Help Troubleshoot and Test

EDIT: Testing over. Thread cleaned up. Outdated posts deleted.

N64 is working now!

I think Project64 is better in most cases. Let me know if you experience otherwise.

I am going to add the rest of the N64 games along with the GBA games. $1 donation adds 1 n64 game and 1 GBA game. 2 games total.

Old N64 saves were lost when upgrading. Shouldn't be a big deal for most because N64 was barely playable until now but if you lost a save here let me know and I'll try to help you recover it.

Also temp file cleaners like CCcleaner and Glary Tools will erase save files. Best to not run them.

Re: N64 - Please Help Troubleshoot and Test

The games work, but I'm not seeing any Project64 links, only Mupen64Plus.

Nintendo 64 Game Menu

Why is there like 3-4 different banjo-kazooie and banjo-tooies?

Re: N64 - Please Help Troubleshoot and Test

N64 should be working fairly decently now! 2 years late is better than never, right?

Project64 added. Both Mupen and P64 should be working in most games now.

I think Project64 is better in most cases. Let me know if you experience otherwise.

There are multiple copies of each game because I' going to start adding foreign languages. Part of a larger project that I will get to next year but I had to reset all N64 roms and I used the roms from the future project which has Japan and Europe etc. Same with GBA.

I am going to add the rest of the N64 games along with the GBA games. $1 donation adds 1 n64 game and 1 GBA game. 2 games total.

This change means your old n64 saves are lost. Shouldn't be a big deal for most because N64 was nearly unplayable for most until now but if you lost a save here let me know and I'll try to help you recover it.

Also temp file cleaners like CCcleaner and Glary Tools will erase save files. Best to not run them.

Thanks Kong! Mupen64 works now but Project64 only produces sound but the screen is still black.

Re: N64 - Please Help Troubleshoot and Test

What browser and OS are you using?
Try
1. clicking the Project64 link to launch the game and then do nothing until after the game starts. Don't switch tabs or windows.
2. after the game starts press Escape to go full screen.
3. Try both Firefox and IE.

Any of those make a difference?

Hi Kong, thank you for the reply!

I am using Internet Explorer and I am running Windows 7.

I tried steps 1 - 2 and it worked! Thank you very much. I do have a question though, how do you change the controller input using Project 64?

Also, I do prefer using Firefox however, when it updated to the most recent version it stopped working for me and it just keeps giving me the "game did not load" error. Any way to fix this?

I appreciate all your help!
