Re: 2010 High Score Assassins Contest
Long time, no posting...
Universal Soldier - Universal Soldier - Super Nintendo - Score Board
I had a play of this game, and despite getting killed many times, the game didn't seem to end, with not even any continues offered. It looks like the 2 scores offered are an initial score by StarFox, then a play-until-I-got-sick-of-it game by hackeynut. I got to about 30,000 until I got bored of searching around and realising I could apparently die as often as I liked.
As it stands there is no way to tell how many lives were used to achieve the scores listed. I apologise if this game has been brought up before.

Re: 2010 High Score Assassins Contest
Stupid game. I just wasted 20 minutes, getting stuck in caverns with 35,000 points. Turns out my frame rate was only 93 percent. I'll take a big pass on this one.

Re: 2010 High Score Assassins Contest
Brush Roller (NES) - Brush Roller - Nintendo Entertainment System - Score Board
This is another game (like Universal Soldier, above) where you can play as much as you like and there is no penalty for dying. Without being to see the playback the score is meaningless, as a player could have died 100 times to achieve the score shown.
I don't know whether or not you want to keep the scores in the database, however I would suggest that the 2010 score/s for this game (and that for Universal Soldier) can be considered assassinated

I don't know what it's doing today, but when I played it I only got 3 men and the screenshot shows that I am down to 0 when I died. If I remember correctly the only way to score points in this version was to crush enemies.
Not Assassinated IMHO.

I stand corrected. I had some more goes today and it seems you get 9 lives, which is why I wasn't getting to 'game over' any time quickly. So you can't keep losing lives forever and there's no reason for the score to be 'assassinated'. Indeed the game speeds up quite a bit so kudos (and apologies) to elrod21!
The scoring system is a bit skewed in this game - looks like you get 1 point for crushing enemies and most of your points (thousands) come from completing each screen, preferably quickly.
