Need some help. Hope I'm going about this right.

Hey I don't know if anyone will read this..not much of a forum poster..but I can't get GB Advance games to work..I've never been able to..With IE or Firefox when I try to play them the whole thing just freezes up and I have to reload the page... Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone help? I have downloaded Teamviewer if need be..it's been a while since I did though so I hope I can remember the username. Anyway, Thanks one way or the other. Peace!

Basically there is 1 guy who really knows the in's and out of how everything works, Kong. His lifestyle is a bit left of center, and because of this he tends to disappear for periods of time. He's really helpful when he's around, just hang tight until he sees this.

Cool, I got lots of idle time on my hands so there's definitely no hurry. I'd love to learn about all that stuff myself, just don't quite know where to begin. Plenty of other goodies on the other consoles to keep me occupied in the meantime.

Aero the Acro Bat - Sega Genesis

In each
What happens in Full Mode?
What happens in Score Mode?

If you don't have the same problem in this game then what game and mode are you having problems with?

Thank you. OK So when I try the GB Advance game in Full mode it does the same thing as ever, it starts to load but then the page freezes..however Score mode seems to work, I've never bothered with score mode as I like to use cheats and it doesn't allow for that. It is good to know that I can at least play them in score mode. Would be great though if I could get Full mode to work as well. GB Advance was the only system I had any problems with..certain other consoles I never really tried like n64 but all the ones I use work fine NES, SNES, both Segas, Coin op, GB, GBC..all fine.ohh and I've tried it with IE and Firefox and had the same problem with GBA Full Mode. Really appreciate your help man..hope I covered everything.

Well you can play in score mode, just don't submit your score.

Yea but still doesn't let you use cheats I don't think...

Reboot then click this link ArcadeOX Reset Gba then try again.

The games are exactly the same, any cheat in full mode will work in score mode. The only difference (I think) is that score mode doesn't allow saves, but don't quote me on that.

So I tried doing exactly what you said. I rebooted the entire pc, came back to this page, clicked the link you gave me. The page came up saying it was reset and should work now...I came back to RU went to double dragon advance but it's still doing the same thing on full mode. I click on full mode, the loading page with sonic comes up but doesn't move..it just freezes up and eventually a little tab comes up on the bottom of the screen that says retrouprising.com is not responding and has a "recover webpage" box. Same as ever. I don't know, maybe it's just not meant to be..lol but thank you for trying.
Oh and no, apart from Score Mode it never has worked.

Download the attached file.
Extract it to somewhere you can find, like the desktop.
Open gba.exe.
Click File.
Click Open GBA.
Select the only game listed.

What happened?

After closing the game, you can delete all of the files.

Ok when I download it, winzip pops up and lists several components of the attachment...So I highlighted gba.exe and extracted it to desktop. When I tried to open it a box popped up that said this: The program cannot start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
Does this make any sense? By the way I cannot express how much I appreciate your patience!

Download and install this
Download DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Then try the game again.

Can't tell you how much I appreciate your patience. OK So I downloaded that and when the download finished a box popped up prompting me to type in or browse for where I wanted to store it. I didn't know what to do so I put it in the temp folder. Then I tried the game again but with no luck. The only thing I can think now is either I should put it someplace else or maybe I should try rebooting and see if it works after that. I'll tell ya what happens. Obviously I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to computer stuff, so whether it works in the end or not, you have been fantastic. Much obliged. OK Gonna reboot now and try this one more time.

Yea, I'm still not having any luck. Also, I'm starting to feel like I'm becoming a pain in your ass..sorry about that. I do have teamviewer installed if you think that would make things easier. Do let me know.

After you run that file it asks you to extract it to somewhere (temp folder by default).

Next Go to the folder you extract it to and run DXSETUP.exe and wait for it to complete the installation.

I gotta tell ya man..I haven't had this much fun playing Double Dragon since like 1987 or 88 playing the coin op version in the back room of the little Korean store that used to be up the street from where I grew up in Baltimore. Many, many Thanks!

My whole GBA thing doesn't work. it was working up until like 5 days ago and I think I hit the ctrl key or the Lshift key or alt or SOMETHING but I did something and now NO GBA games work. whenever I open one all that happens is a black square appears in the top right of my screen and I have to close it down from the bottom taskbar. please help!
