Re: Losing our humanity

I don't see how anyone can really trust a totally virtual currency. It seems so easy to exploit and abuse. Without something tangible I just can't take it seriously. It's like investing in WoW gold.

I feel the same way, but bitcoin value has skyrocketed, and more and more reputable companies are accepting it as a valid currency, Lamborghini just announced the accept bitcoins now.

But seriously, how does it make any sense? You get a bunch of powerful pc's and "mine" them. Just generate them out of thin air, how and the heck is that going to translate to a sustainable economy?

Re: Losing our humanity

It's dumb and I just can't imagine it will last. It seems like a fad and the crash will be sudden and epic.

Re: Losing our humanity

Global elite conspiracy would want a centralized currency. Bitcoin is the opposite.

It is less easy to abuse and exploit than cash and actually is more tangible than cash.

Bitcoins are worth 1200 each. Last year they were worth 12 each. Just few years ago they were worth 12 cents each.

They continue exponential growth will eventually stop but they are stable and will be around for a long time.

You can no longer mine them with powerful pc. You have to have specialized hardware - an ASIC chip. I have one.

If you have a powerful graphics card you can use it to mine LiteCoins which are similar.

Re: Losing our humanity

If the value of the electronic currency is based on real world economics, it could be viable.

I don't know much about bitcoins other than a few businesses here in Vancouver accept them, so they must be worth something to someone.

By the way, the Illuminati doesn't exist

and that ^ is dangerous language nowadays; I know I'm already toast because of the things I've posted regarding government corruption,

but as long as the rest of you 'get with the program' and act like 'good citizens', meaning swallow the floride, eat the aspartame and the GMO's and above all believe everything 'they' tell you unquestioningly

And where 'the currency' is concerned, they own it all, and have for over a hundred years now, so why would one more scam make a difference at this point?

These parasites have been getting money for nothing for ages to the point that money is no longer an object for them so why the hell shouldn't other people be able to get something for nothing too?
