I was definitely happy about that Cosmo Gang clear though, it was my first time ever clearing it. That game was used in one of the qualifying rounds of a Knockout tourney at MARP and nobody finished it.

Yes, I think this was my best score thus far. Had insane luck with the pineapples that's unfortunately not easy to reproduce, which is one of the most annoying things about the game. All I wanted was a clear on it for Video Armageddon but that was above and beyond what I expected to do, which is great because I never want to play it again, hahaha.

I was going to say something about my maxed-out LSA Squad 9,999,990 but seeing how I've done that at MARP and on actual arcade hardware, it's not exactly a RU exclusive. So yeah, definitely Trog.

I dont know how you did LSA. I don't mean how you did a counter-stop but how you could continue to play it for that long. Some games just don't do it for me and this one of them. Still a nice job.

Cosmo gang is such a fun game and i always manage to mess up my games. I go strong all the way to the last few wave with 2-4 lives and i just pull a typical me.

1942 is a very annoying game and of course like always i play well until the final 10 stages. But ive never really put time into 1942 coin-op. Not sure i want to. I scream a lot.

The thing about LSA Squad is that you're NOT meant to be hammering away on the fire button the entire time. If you get a 100% shot ratio on a level, your shots get fully powered-up, the next vehicle is automatically a helicopter, and you get a 100k bonus. Once you're at full power it's even easier to get 100% shot ratio again. The tricky part is getting that 100% the first time, but running over soldiers in a tank or a boat counts as a kill without firing anything. So you can just keep going and going like this... except for one stage where there's no vehicles, which makes it harder. And of course, dying on the 6th/7th/8th stages of a loop makes it really hard to beat the "bosses" with only grenades, and can result in losing lives over and over. It's basically a really fun game until this happens, and then it becomes aggravating. But with extras every 150k I can kinda build up lives so that there's a nice stockpile when this happens. Anyway it "only" takes a little over an hour once you have the hang of it...

Funniest user: dead heat between Teddy Loc and CapnJivePants - Teddy's a class act all round and the Captain's had me spitting tea / beer / gin / tears over my laptop all year

Most impressive score: Maxh Pepper 2 960930. It may not be a world record, but it's a title so many of the RU gang have played over the last year, and so many of us have sworn at, cursed, hated, loved, etc. that I think most of us could say it's a tremendous score. Also one of the most enjoyable for me to watch as a moderator.
