I just realized why people magically are not dicks in college, it's because they don't have their group of friends to try to impress and feed off of anymore. Huh.
"My mind is my weapon. My brother has his sword, King Robert has his warhammer and I have my mind... and a mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone if it is to keep its edge. That’s why I read so much, Jon Snow."
Oh gosh I've gone through the interview process for the past three weeks with a company and am still in the game and tomorrow I have a call scheduled with senior staff and this might seal the deal this is it omigosh excite please let this happen please.

Only once in each game (except for three in Gaiden) so not that worthy of discussion. We did talk some college football though.
The interview went good, I thought this would be the last one but guess not. I have a coding challenge to work on now. Hopefully I'm near the end of this, as long as I don't get a rejection notice I'm cool though.

I just noticed this. Since when are (some/most)college kids not seen as dicks? I've always heard it the other way around, someone like ChrisP is an exception.

I don't know, from my experience it's nothing like revenge of the nerds, all the different social groups just kinda merged into one. Maybe it's different in other places, where the cliques from HS try to go to the same Secondary School to continue their cliquiness.

Hence, "Party Schools". Some colleges are definitely "13th Grade" if you get what I mean.

I think the college age dicks are more of a loud minority. Most college kids are well grounded.
This. The college application process screens out most of the high school idiot gang. All the college drinking and parties you see and hear about are typically private events within a social circle, and not people going out of their way to harass other people.
They're around, and a lot of them are in frats from my experience. Frats tend to segregate themselves away from the rest of the student body so it's all for the better.
And yes I know not all frats are like that and I apologize if you were a member of one.
About SH's post {so I don't have to copy/ paste the whole thing}:
Cell phone walking lanes?! How about pay attention to where the you're going?
= you have to while you're driving, so why is it any different just because you're walking down the street?
Or perhaps I'm not getting some new 'class' thing, where if a person can afford an i - whatever, then the rest of us must get out of their way so they can continue staring at the screen without actually once looking where they are going?
Some of you may be shocked to hear me say this, but:

I think the 'googel - glasses' technology will probably take care of this problem with people who pay far too much attention to their portable 'devices'.

Someone needs to tell you that you have TOO MUCH MONEY.
Buy a new goldfish.
It's not a Bonsai tree for cryin' out loud.
No I think this is a great idea. They should make more lanes, with concrete dividers, to separate the normal people(those who look where they're going and are aware of their surroundings) from the walking dead. Where I live it's not so bad because wide sidewalks and not a lot of people but when I go to places like NY or Boston I wanna closeline people sometimes. It's like they just don't care at all who's stuck behind them.
