Yea, I just had to double check since there are multiple sites competing for this tourney. I know we run on good faith but some other sites want cold , hard facts.

Couple of issues:

1. The 19xx scores for Aussie Arcade aren't showing on the main scoreboard, but out scores are listed in our score submission page. This page has scores for 19xx, but it doesn't show in our AA spreadsheet (if that makes sense) that we've played it.

2. The 0 = 30 points. I don't see a problem with this, if a team doesn't achieve 5 scores they are going to get 30 for every 0/non-submission. I'd say don't worry about this unless there is something I'm missing.

3. Not sure the team scores are correct unless I'm missing something - Current scores are RU: 476, DKF: 692, AA: 753, GAMEEX: 905, ATART: 1183. I think I counted about 75 zero scores for DKF (just picked one team, not picking on them

) which would be 75 * 30 + the rest of their points, so an absolute minimum at this stage of around 2300+ pts. AA has around 50 zero scores, so minimum of around 1600+ pts at this stage.

Think that is it, cheers for all the hard work.

@wolf - just so I'm clear on how the points scoring works - is this correct:

The points for each game (1-30) is awarded based on the top 5 scores from each team. So for example, and I'll use DKF because they will no doubt dominate DK - the best they can get is 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5th place - so next best is 6th place regardless of other DKF players posting better scores - hope that makes sense?

So in other words, if DKF posted the top 20 scores in DK - then their 6-20th scores effectively don't count towards anything, so a team with the 21st best score in the case would actually be awarded 6th.

Hope that makes sense - I'm sick as a dog and getting drunk to try and get some sleep so I'm probably speaking a lot of s*%t at the moment

I will look into this

that should read != (does not equal). I will probably auto fill this in at work today. i can't get the right function to do this or i am not smart enough.

Feeling better. I have got the majority of scoreboard fix. Rankings are true to my knowledge.

Disregard my 0 comment. For now a 0 rank pulls the next available rank. Which is fine unless we come down to a last minute battle and some teams haven't submitted a score that would influence rankings.

I really think it's a case of three cheers for TIF here, for taking on the mantle of making this scoreboard.

Thanks for spending so much time and effort on this, TIF.

I'm sure everything will be ironed out and a little patience is required is all...

...every score is being faithfully recorded via the submission forms, and I'm sure it'll be showing up on the scoreboard in good time.

I was going to mention a problem with Frogger scores - and then it was fixed as I was looking - freaky stuff

The Bomb Jack top 30 has numbers listed instead of names. Will post if I see anything else abnormal.

I'm still not 100% on how the team scores are calculated. Currently AA is being shown as 1300 points.

I've just done my own spreadsheet for the AA guys, and I make out our score to be 1547. Basically just added up our placings, giving us 30 points per game where we haven't submitted 5 games yet.

I'll try and upload a screenshot of the spreadsheet to see if it makes sense to you:

My only guess is that where teams haven't submitted 5 scores yet is somehow screwing with the calculations. If you give 30 points for each game where 5 scores are not submitted then it will vastly alter the current team standings. Once all teams (or most) get 5 scores for each game in, I'm sure it will all work out

nice scoresheet! I'll try and get some gametime in. most of these games I barely know so likely will be average at best. work crazy right now this time of year so not a lot of time to play.

After the whole first score board fiasco. I couldn't figure out a simple way to do it without altering things. Right now a 0 score takes the next available rank and if there are several the rank is tied. So if the next rank is 15 and there are 3 0s, the 0s receive 16 each. I am pretty sure everyone will fill out the games and it will fix itself. If i am feeling up to it, i will add that if statement in. Just want to relax a bit and do the minor maintenance that i've been doing.

i can make it a bit better by filling in sequential lowball scores for those who have 0s.

If you really want it, i'll add it, but it's on my "afterthought" list as the tourney is so fresh. If this doesn't correct itself over the next several days. I will add it in as a priority.

Understood. No don't go to any troubles changing this, as soon as more sides have all 5 scores for each game it will fix itself. I'm figuring with the weekend coming up there will be a heap of scores filled in, I know we have a few guys who are waiting for the weekend to have time to really play.

It will look like crap. What i can do is put a link for all the games on the side. Would that work?
