It's a fairly clever kid's show that manages to be pretty charming, despite how obnoxious the show appears to be from the exterior. The light tone of the show seems to relax my otherwise somewhat morbid tastes for media, and that has been a pleasant surprise for me. The animation makes me feel like I'm looking into the Hypno Toad and I get sucked into staring at it. Strangely enough, the fact that I don't find any of the characters to have concepts I can relate to actually makes me more intrigued.

I find it kinda goofy a bunch of older guys watching a kids show,

I have heard good things about the animation.

Wait, you can't relate to any of the characters? Then how can you
have a favorite character? It could just be you're intrigued by
"the strange", by that it's so outlandish that you have to have a
peak. I sometimes check things out because I think it's out there.

Animation mistake, online fanbase made a big deal of it, thought she was a good idea and should be an actual character. Creator of show made her an actual character in response.

Meh, to be honest I've never liked the idea of relating to characters in general. Not having a very good self image, I tend to favor characters who are starkly different from myself.

Anyways, I pretty much went with Pinkie Pie because she's the only consistently lively character; she basically works the best as an avatar.

I can't relate to a lot of my favorite characters from things. I can't relate to Duncan MacLeod, Alucard, Akagi or Cirno, and they are some of my favorite characters.

It's a legitimately enjoyable show.
I didn't initially want to watch it, but my friend dragged me to my school's My Little Pony club (yes, there is such a thing) one day at lunch, and we watched an episode. I was surprised at how entertaining the show really was.

I think people make too big of a fuss over it... I mean making clubs? Seems like the fans always just... You don't see a fuss being made over almost any other show, so in a way it seems like they're looking for attention, idk. Hopefully someone gets what I mean, because I can't put it into words.

And no, I don't really care, watch what show you want, I'm just making an observation
