long overdue introduction.
Hey folks,

Not sure how I ever stumbled upon this site but I'm grateful I did. Like many, I took an interest in classic gaming (coin-op) after viewing King of Kong and Chasing Ghosts. The local record store used to have an Ultracade and when I was too broke to buy an LP I'd throw my quarters into it and play Do Run Run. Once the Ultracade disappeared I needed a way to play that game. I wasn't too adept at configuring MAME at the time and luckily came across RU. And here I am! The other event that seriously got me into coin-op gaming was scoring 3.17m on a Galaga/Ms. Pac Man machine. Little did I know at the time that those boards featured a fast-shot speed option. This unfortunately made Galaga like shooting fish in a barrel. My current (arcade) high on a legit Galaga boardset is 298k.

My time spent here at RU has been awesome, to say the least. So many games ready to play, ready to set high scores on. I've had a lot of fun going back and forth with elrod21 on games. All messages I've received from mods or others have been positive (even in the event that a score must be disqualified on technical grounds).

Zoo Keeper
Do Run Run
Satan's Hollow
Berzerk (although I'm atrocious at it)

Glad you finally spoke up!

This guy has skills and has been a great addition to the competition in the arcade as I am sure he will be in the forums also.

I'm still working on getting that Zoo Keeper score back.

I know what you mean. Like I said my username came from mocking that kind of guy so naturally I say it a little too. My brother and I used to get such a kick out of doing some epic quest in a game and having it say "You've saved the world from the creeping evil DUDEBRO!"
