Pick 3 team Captains, Wolf should be one of them, Cass and Joz perhaps as the other 2. Do a draft picking 1,2,3,3,2,1, until the teams are divided. Wolf can select the game, the team that posts the best score total (Top score of each team member combined on the team wins the round) First team 2 win say 5-10 rounds wins bragging rights. The rounds should last 48 hours each. I would sign up for something like this because I wouldnt hurt my team as much if I had to post a quick score in a few rounds. Just an idea though.

Wolfie - we have 16 players atm (including Thunderlips). It's your call - wait a few more days for possibly a few more or decide what to do now with the 16.

if we do both the round robin and double elimination it will be a total of 39-44 days with 8 teams
if we do just the double elimination it will be 30 days.

16 people is a perfect number for a single elimination bracket tournament or team of 2 with the same system.

for the round robin part
Each round will be 48 hours long.

Each round will begin with me choosing two random games in Chat.

both players from each team will play both games.

After 48 hours their scores are combined.

The highest combined score will get a win.

double elimination part

after the round robin teams are seeded based on their overall records from the round robin.

Each round will be 120 hours long.

Each round will begin with me choosing five random games in Chat.

both players from each team will play all five games.

After 120 hours their scores are combined in each game and the team with the most wins advances and the team with the most losses will go in the loser's bracket.

I will choose the games at the same time, anywhere from 12 am to 3 am, every five days. If 51% of the teams in chat at that time want to choose a new game, then we will.

If a game with reverse scoring (golf style score) is picked then we will automatically choose a new game.

If a game does not work or submit scores correctly then we will choose a new game.

If there is an odd number of teams then one will be given a bye. The team will be randomly selected with a dice roll when creating the brackets.

Do not cheat.

So can we submit a score every time we play in the time frame or is it a one shot deal?

@bearhawk: you can submit multiple scores, but only the highest score will count. So to try and keep it simple and easier to keep track of (not to mention to make it a bit easier for the mods who view scores) we should just submit a new score only if it beats your older submission.

that's what I thought, just wanted to make sure you didn't only have 1 chance to submit

Time estimates should be made clear as to what time zone they are listed under.
