That doesn't apply for the original game though, does it?

If I remember correctly, doesn't everyone, through coercion, live by strict laws? Trembling, fearful, trapped in gods' paws?

Not really but, I prefer law significantly in any game. Even if the law endings in SMT games can be scary.
Hey being completely evil is awesome.

Re: Game Secrets/tips

The second one is like that, it starts assuming the first game ended with the law ending, where the angels prevailed and have oppressed everyone's free will.
The first one starts on a normal day in normal Japan, until the Demon Summoning Program surfaces.

Not so much, I'd prefer to build everything up at the expense of everyone's freedom.
Besides, Chaos means siding with Satan, and SMT's Satan is creepy as hell.

Re: Game Secrets/tips

Actually, my first playthrough in any SMT game has me responding how I would in reality, which ends up giving me a law alignment.
It is best to do neutral last because you fight the powered up chaos being, the powered up law being and another true final boss. If you've already fought the law and chaos bosses, you know how to deal with them much more effectively.

Re: Game Secrets/tips

So it's based on text and not slaughtering people?

Re: Game Secrets/tips

You can't just kill NPCs.
It's based upon how you deal with certain situations. How do you answer this question, do you take this guy's advice and go left to kill this demon, or do you follow the other guy's advice to go right and kill this other demon. That kind of thing, sometimes gameplay decisions and sometimes answering questions in the text.

Re: Game Secrets/tips

Oh, that's different in feda. Basically you can't kill these morphed humans even though you get high EXP. Or do you avoid a battle or not.

Feda seems like an interesting game.
Of course avoiding combat will end up with you having low experience.

It was on the game club one month. I loved it but it got real buggy in the end. Thank the lord I had powerful characters.

I don't think you got more experience for being chaos. After each battle it gave you bonus points if you followed the mission objective. If you were evil then you could get exp points from killing people but I think in the end the bonus mission points were higher.

I think the difference is if you are good everyone gets an equal share of the experience points. If you are evil then you can choose who gets the experience points by using specific characters to kill most enemies.

The bio humans at the begining of the game gave like 60 EXP which buffed my characters fast by grinding. IMO it's way faster and easier than avoiding stuff.

So, you got more experience in chaos because you spent time level grinding?
Not the same as more experience in a normal scenario, you know where you didn't grind.

No, the game is like Shining Force. Grinding isn't possible.

In chaos it is. Just keep on going back and forth in some places and they keep on respawning.

Oh, okay.
I was unaware of that, thanks.
Does Tails maybe have the wrong idea of grinding?

First chapter has you just going back and forth and getting hit with the bio humans.

Oh, I didn't know you were repeating battles. Yeah, that is grinding.

But the game gives you options of being bad and good by choosing who lives and dies without grinding.

Incorrect. All you need to do is exit a fight with a spell the main character has and you go back to the last town. Then go in and repeat the same fight. That's how I would do it. Grinding is possible in Shining Force

Re: Game Secrets/tips

Depends on what though, it tells you not to kill the bio humans but if you do you go into chaos - best EXP opportunity.
