I don't know about Bert and Ernie .. or what you meant by that, exactly.
If you're trying to say that we're relatively newbs and inexperienced at playing the game, this is true.
DB just started about a week ago, and I've only been playing for a few weeks.
The other members with the towers, glass domes, automated devices, etc. are far more advanced, I dare say.

The other thing to consider is the 'mobs' - meaning the monsters in the game are enabled and attack whenever they can.
For example, my humble hut has been blown up by creepers about 5 times already, and I'm still working on it .. so it takes a while to get over that production 'hump'.
I'm getting there, though.

have since relocated, my sprite is to the left of Seahawk's picture now, standing upright instead of flat on the ground. now just need to finish my house underneath it.

Nah, he's got his own place in there, although he did camp out in my hut one night to avoid the monsters.
This is good as long as no monsters decide to spawn inside my hut.

I've been playing minecraft since InDev 1.0.1.5 Alpha which is before just Alpha, so I have been playing a long time considering we are at 1.8 Beta now almost. So I've learned a few things. I never get tired of this game though really, so I'm happy.

I found Notch's youtube channel yesterday and got to see his first like 7 minecraft videos and holy crap it's cool seeing how the game progressed. Just take a look at the very first video. I mean, I know it started somewhere, but holy crap.

gives me a greater appreciation for ti somehow. Other videos showed how mobs used to be able to wear armour, and how skeletons had no bow and arrows. It's cool.

Have you seen them DB? I know I mentioned it but I've seen 2.

Also. Epic moment. Thunder came around so seahawk and I decided to brave the thunder for fun. I killed 12 creepers, 2 skeletons and a zombie! I had no armour either! It was great. Not sure about seahawk but I saw him killing stuff. The he got lost and I saw the clone near his house and I was telling him he's crazy, he's right in front of his house.
