Re: Game Secrets/tips
Only if you reach a certain amount of points for that extra chance. 30k would do.

I like a good joke, but that seemed excessive.

It's not like that. Normally I only have like 10 high scores and I have 3 masteries and people respect me, for the most part. We respect everyone here as long as they respect us and the site rules. What I meant before was that you shouldn't talk big if you got nothing to show for it. I wasn't trying to bother you when I said it.
I only have so many scores atm because some games had no scores and I was bringing attention to them. Feel free to browse them and take anyone you can.

Re: Game Secrets/tips
Btw guys lets keep this on topic. At least post a secret or tip when you wanna say something.
This one I never knew until recently and it's kinda embarrassing really. It's a secret footbag trick in California Games. I'll just copy and paste it from the walkthrough I found it in(yes California Games has a walkthrough )
Quote:
Squinty O Toole: This is a "hidden" trick, in that it does not appear on the
tricks list. It will not up your bonus to perform it during
the performance time, but it is worth a lot of points. To
perform the trick, start with a right outside foot lift,
left outside foot lift, headbutt (NO JUMPING), and then
turn 360 and play hackey with your knee.
|
I've tried it and it works. But it won't help you get a high score because it takes longer than the other moves and it doesn't count for variety bonus. Cool though.

Actually, you need to have all 4 energy tanks filled up and all of the bosses defeated and get to the end of the level with full life. Then climb the wall and it should be there.

You also have to get the energy on top 5 times by resetting for it to appear.

Re: Game Secrets/tips
You could grab the energy capsule 4 times on your first visit to Armored Armadillo's stage and then come back later when you've gotten all the tanks and Dr. Light upgrades. Dr. Light's capsule will appear the next time you go to the ledge, not immediately after you've grabbed the energy capsule.

Re: Game Secrets/tips
It also mentions that it even counts it before hand, have you ever had to go back through the stage before getting everything?

Re: Game Secrets/tips
The Hadoken is hard to pull off mostly because you must have full health to do it.....And yes you must die a certain amount of times before it shows up(when your fully upgraded of course).....at least on the SNES version you do, but is there any other way to play it.....no!

Ive heard of something where you can make Mega Man X sit down.....is there any truth to this ?

Re: Game Secrets/tips
This was one my favorite secrets from a while back...
In Yoshi's Island in 5-4 you can go to this room behind the start with a Chain Chomp inside. It takes an item to remove it like a POW or that item that turns enemies into winged '?' clouds. Another door is revealed and you get this great secret.
At the map screen. Hold select and then press X,X,Y,B,A
You should then have access to the bonus minigames that you normally find through the locked bonus door huts in the game. You'll also get a few 2-player games which is pretty sweet.

Re: Game Secrets/tips
I have a tip for any Shin Megami Tensei game: Law ending is always best ending. Don't worry about chaos and neutral.

Re: Game Secrets/tips
It's just an RPG with an alignment system, not all that uncommon. Well, there is the demon capturing that predated Pokemon by nine years, and demon fusion but, that is neither here nor there.
I always end up aligned with law, therefore law is superior to the scum that is chaos.
Only the second one is on-site, the first is rather glitchy when patched to English.

It's a fun game, worth looking into. The whole series, I prefer the main series to the spinoffs like Persona, Digital Devil Saga and Devil Summoner.
Hell, SMT: Strange Journey on the DS is probably one of my favorite RPGs.

Re: Game Secrets/tips
Chaos is scum.
Not really but, I prefer law significantly in any game. Even if the law endings in SMT games can be scary.
