Re: Grammy Reporter Fail
I think it's kinda rude to call that a fail when she's obviously having a medical issue. The latest reports say a migraine is to blame but I really doubt that. I've known many people prone to migraines and I've never seen them babble incoherently like a stroke victim. I think they're downplaying the seriousness at her request or something like that.
Personally I thought that video was hard to watch because you can see that she's fully aware but the words are just not forming. That's gotta be more than a migraine.
You mean the family feud thing where the guy says a joint and it's actually on the board? That's only scandalous because so many people are stupid about weed.

Re: Grammy Reporter Fail
She said everthing was fine, which might not be the truth but at least it went from disturbing to hilarious.

Re: Grammy Reporter Fail
Nope I still don't think it's funny. Would you laugh at a person having a stroke? Even if this was something minor it's still scary.

I laugh at my grandmother all the time. It's especially funny when she makes up a word, and then when you tell her it isn't a word she spells it out for you. Still not a word, grandma. Haha.

If you're serious that's kinda mean, unless she's also laughing at her mistakes.

I'm a little insulted you guys think I'd laugh at someone getting brain damage.
Strokes are extremely serious, I've seen a man get one in front of me. It's no laughing matter.
She said she didn't have a stroke but a severe migrane.
I'd doubt she'd lie about her condition.
That said it's alright to have a laugh at someones mixed up lines because of a migrane.

Re: Grammy Reporter Fail
SJB, coming from someone with a brother who suffered migraines, I don't think laughing at mixed up lines due to a condition is right. Now if they mess up due to no issues with their health or something they can control.. that's another story.

Re: Grammy Reporter Fail
My mother has had migranes several times, she had to stay in a dark room with a cloth over her eyes.
She never said anything that bad but when she did we'd laugh and forget.
I'd never want to hurt her feelings.
I fell like I'm offending people while explaining myself.
Can someone lock this thread up before this gets out off hand? Thanks.

Re: Grammy Reporter Fail
I don't see why the reason makes a difference. What if the reason was stage freight or drugs?
If I was the one that screwed up my lines that bad on TV I would laugh at myself. Not being able to laugh at mistakes is a mistake.
That aside, while watching her you can see that she is aware what is going on and is visibly upset and embarrassed. That makes it uncomfortable to watch and laugh at, makes me just feel sorry for her.

Re: Grammy Reporter Fail
It turns out that Branson suffered a "migraine aura"--a speech and sensory-impairing side effect of certain severe headaches--according to Dr. Andrew Charles, director of UCLA's Headache Research and Treatment Program, who treated the Emmy-nominated entertainment reporter following the unfortunate episode.

Re: Grammy Reporter Fail
At least she's feeling better though.
I mean that video can only make her famous if anything.
Look at Antoine Johnson, he made so much money on the "Hide yo kids" thing.

Re: Grammy Reporter Fail
Part of the trade off for choosing a profession that includes fame is accepting that your life is public - paparazzi, youtube, public ridicule etc. If you are not up for a public life then don't become an actress. Simple.

Well she did choose a career to be on television.
I don't think it would change much.

I don't think It's funny to laugh at someone with a medical condition. That said, I do enjoy laughing at a stranger that just fell. That's about it though.
