Save States
Game: Mystery Quest for Nes
Problem: Loading my save state, brings me to the right location, but the game seems frozen on that screen.
Solution:?
Profit!
This is my first time using save states, so it might be something obvious.

Re: Save States
This has happened to me before here, but it was on Top Gear 3000 which is a pretty obvious glitched emulator-game we all know now.
Have you tried different browsers?

Re: Save States
Essie, did you make sure to hit [ESC] then [ENTER] when you are ready to close the window?

Re: Save States
I was just going file>save and file>load, it's a nestopia game with the options on the top of the screen.

Ah. Okay. I was thinking it was ArcadeOX for some reason. Do you have option to save it to an alternate location? Also, I used to have it happen where my files would delete when I closed my browser. Using FF, you can uncheck this if you haven't already.

Re: Save States
Looks like a stupid game. Why are you playing it in the first place?
I just tested it and saves worked in full mode for me. Could just be something went wrong when loading or saving and it was just a one time error.
Try emailing the save file to me and I'll see if there is something wrong with it. Also try saving again and see if it was just a fluke.

Shame on you Kong! Okay a few reasons, for one I rented it a lot when I was a kid so it's nostalgic, for 2 it's actually a halway decent game with lots of little secrets to discover, and 3 I'm working on a review of it. I don't think I have the save anymore, I'll just start again.

Re: Save States
I thought it was a quite interesting game with a interesting concept. With loads of gfx errors.

Re: Save States
I just played the first minute. I didn't see any secrets. I just walked right and shot the occasional enemies and jumped over legos that were in the way.
