arcadeox directx problems (fullmode)

I can't get full mode for arcadeox to work. On NES i get a nestopia error, and on genisis i get a directx 7 or higher required error. I have directx 11 installed.

I wish we could answer this quicker but it looks like you'll have to wait for Kong to answer before anything is figured out. Just try to remain patient in the meantime.

Not a problem. Just pissed off at my own problems. not a fan of tails though, with his much better than my video game skills! I see nothing changes here.

seriously though, this is a great site. I thought i had everything figured out here until i started trying to use my new machine. I wish i cold go back to my XP unit, but its on the tv now and my girl took over the ps3!

I don't blame you. I know the feeling of thinking you got everything under control and then stuff just won't work. Hopefully Kong can get it working right for you asap.

The problem is most likely that you do not have your video driver correctly installed and that is causing DirectX to not properly load.

Best solution, install the correct display driver.
Work around, you can disable DirectX in the emulators.

Got rid of all my directx downloads, and everything works now. The only reason i downloade it was that the joytokey program keep telling me i needed it to install it. Got rid of directx, and joytokey works fine. Annoying. I did do some free trial driver detective, told me i had 18 out of date drivers, but then itt wanted me to pay to fix them! So i deleted that. How do i go about searching for drivers?

Click Start > Control Panel.
From there use "Windows Update" and "Add Hardware"

downloaded a demo on steam, and it included a directx download, problem was back! Got rid of it and the problem was gone. Windows said all my drivers where up to date.
