Listening to music while playing games

Well, i was thinking today, when i get these games and i play them on here, mostly games like sonic, double dragon, etc. i often get frustrated and say 'screw it' and quit the game. yet when i listen to this one song i kick butt on them, and it seems to happen every time. Do you have a song you listen to while playing games that gives the same feedback, or even listen to songs while playing games (with games sounds muted also)? If so what do you listen to? As for me, I listen to this song. I was just playing a Sonic game and i got a high score on it. I kinda found it repetitive, that it always happens.

its really good to listen to good music while you play some games... like for example gears of war... its a decent game but play some of your fav music while shooting bad guys with blood flying everywhere...

the only time when it suck is during rpgs... to much talking

i agree exactly as oasis said

NEVER listen to music during rpg's

but listen to music during hardcore shooters like gears of war and halo

also there are certain genres of music for different games

i listen to all kinds of music
like i listen to tupac while playing crackdown(xbox 360)
some sort of rock/metal during halo and gears of war
sports games-it really depends like soccer i'd listen to like the beatles but basketball id listen to some sort of rap(i only like rap depending on artist)
and football and hockey ill listen to metal/rock

im not a rpg fan, but wouldnt it not matter if there's the words on the screen? hence Mario RPG, or Dragon Warrior 1? I usually play this song during side scrollers.

Yeppers. Lately I've been listening to either Sheryl Crow or Jamie Cullum's new albums.

I didn't enjoy Crow's older albums, but her new one, Detours is excellent folky singe/song-writer stuff. And for those who don't know, Jamie Cullum = jazz.

Jazz is so awesome, along with Rock and Roll, and Techno.

I love the 360 for the fact that you can play the music on your hard-drive while playing games. Great feature.

Static-x goes very well with video games. Lately I've been listening to In Flames and Darkest Hour while playing on here.

i always listen to music during these games. i dont listen to music while playing my other gaming systems though. I mostly listen to jazz, even though it doesn't fit so well with some things lol. I'm not into jamie cullum though. too much pop influence.

That's the same reason I like him. It's more accessable.

i agree completely it allows me to even charge my ipod and you cant migrate the ipod music but you can plug it in and choose songs without it taking up space on the hard drive

Well i guess it's a good thing that someone is getting jazz listened to more....but im a jazz musician so for me......not so good haha

I bootlegged the upcoming Gnarls Barkley album a few days ago. Now THAT is music, man!

Also been listening to the 2 tracks off the upcoming Roots album that are out there. So awesome.
