Old time radio

Guys, I just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying the old time radio addition to the site.

There's somethine really cool about listening to shows like the Adventures of Sam Spade that are over 60 years old. It's like a window to a different world! I am also now going to have to go and buy some hair tonic thanks to those ads!

I enjoy the War of the Worlds broadcast. It's kind of funny how much panic that caused in the country. Even the emergency sewrvices such as police, military, and fire department now have guidelines for what to do in the event of a UFO caused panic.

Yeah, it's great! Just listened to War of the Worlds and can see now why it caused so much hysteria back in the day. Marvellous, like a window to a different era.

I was listening to this-
Retro Uprising - Arcade - America's Town Meeting of the Air
and it occurred to me that I can't fast forward or rewind it(unless I'm missing it). This isn't that big a deal but for this particular one I wanna skip some of the hot air and get to the good stuff. People rambled a lot back in the day.

Hitchhiker's Guide... is brilliant, very proud to say it comes from the UK

If you like that you may also like a series called Red Dwarf (don't know if you have it in the States). Loads of clips on YouTube and the BBC are repeating one of the radio series at the moment. If you can get iPlayer from the BBC site in the US well worth a listen.
