I've seen Mark Streit and Lubomir Visnovsky's names being floated around in trade rumors. We'd probably get a decent deal for them. I like them both though so I much rather keep them.
"My mind is my weapon. My brother has his sword, King Robert has his warhammer and I have my mind... and a mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone if it is to keep its edge. That’s why I read so much, Jon Snow."
They were talking about the deadline here. They said word is out Bowman has been talking to teams saying he's willing to deal, though not what for. Most likely someone to play second line center.
However word around the league is most teams are not willing/ready to trade yet as they're still trying to sort out what they have and where they stand.
Watch Gagner go to Chicago :P Although my bias still does not want to trade him.
I heard about Visnovsky and Streit, because the Oilers are interested. Frankly, so am I.
Names bouncing around Edmonton are Gagner, Nugent-Hopkins(less-so), Whitney, and of course, as always, Hemsky.
Rather not lose any of them frankly. I hold bias to Hemsky & Gagner (2 favourite players), out of our top 6, if we want grit, they make the most sense however. Actually tempted to say I'd rather Nugent-Hopkins go over Gagner, and that aint Bias talking here. Bold move, I know.

Being Bipolar here, but don't trade any core guys Oilers. Thinking about it. Hall has, and continues to get grit, Nugent-Hopkins Less-so. Gagner, has some grit. Not to mention Paajarvi and Hartikainen have grit and are coming to be 2nd line players. I'm not worried. If were trying to make the playoffs this year, we'd need some big trades. Still willing to let lesser guys go for lesser guys.

After the Avs nearly beat the Hawks Wednesday, and seeing the way the Hawks were playing I felt the end was near. The Hawks just look gassed and the the Avs just pounded them whenever they could.
6-0 loss to Nashville. To Nashville. Nashville! A team with so much trouble producing offense. Dear god, this is stupid! Don't even know what happened, didn't see the game. Can't imagine much different. Probably got like 8 shots in the game.
Anyways, very respectable streak. You already got a playoff spot, all that matters in the end, just sit back and enjoy.
I'll watch the Chicago game (that edmonton plays), but other than that I'll likely watch few and far between other than third periods.

Horcoff, Hemsky, Hartikainen all returning to the lineup tonight (nice alliteration). Hell yeah!

oh wow, actually did not expect this kind of lineup shake up, but I'm okay with it:

Khabibulin is already hurt :-/ Don't need this. Hope Dubnyk's alright. Still no word on when Khabibulin is back. Not even sure who will back up Danis here. Olivier Roy I guess? Dang man... Even in good times, things can be bad.
Hats off to the blackhawks and their fans though. Actually surprised to see the fans cheer Dubnyk once he got up. Class act. Same with the blackhawk players checking on Dubnyk.
Try having to think about going into your next who knows how many games without Emery or Crawford :-/ Cannot even enjoy this right now. Good goals by Horcoff and Hall though. Sweet initial 2 saves by Danis until that third went in.

Well, that was incredibly nerve-racking that whole last period. How we pulled of the win, I don't know. Not very confident in Danis. He made a lot of great saves, 2 of the goals against him can hardly be blamed against him. The other, I missed.
Former London Knights Linesmates, and friends Patrick Kane, and Sam Gagner with 2 goals each, nearly a hat trick several times for each.

Still though, it's not even Chicago's fault, but Edmonton is going to have to rely on two AHL Goalies for a while, and that is incredibly scary. Cannot stress that enough. We'll see how long Dubnyk's injury is for, but I really want to have him and Khabby back and healthy right now.

Dubnyk looks like he's alright. He'll be out for a bit, but not for too long hopefully. No serious head injuries happened, however something I did not see. Hossa got his skate caught up in dubnyk's pad. Pulled his groin. That is the injury that will likely have him out. Rumour has it Khabibulin is on his way to Colorado though. I don't believe it, but I hope so. Oilers website is horrible on keeping on top of injuries, linechanges and all that this year.
Tambellini is content with the team we have, and frankly I am mostly too. Core guys are fine for this year.
We've found a lineup strategy that works. Instead of putting our 6 deking, talent guys on the top 2 lines, we put 2 on each of the first 3 lines while throwing someone with simple play, can play to those dirty areas, as well as play 2-way on the lines with those guys. It seems to be working (knock on wood), and I'm surprised it wasn't thought of earlier.
Eager? Meh, he didn't do anything to stand up for anybody, and rarely if he did. Mike Brown has fought in most of his games already.
Gagner is a top 6 Center. I doubt he'd take Toews Spot, and who's on the 2nd line? Bolland? Gagner is better than him I'd say. Smid can fill a shutdown defensive role, and block a lot of shots, while chipping in on offense when he needs to. Probably could drop Oduya to line 3 and pair Smid with Hjalmarsson.
Not sure though, don't keep posted on the hawks all too much, but I'm sure they're fine wihtout Smid and Gagner, and I'm fine with keeping them. Favourite defenseman in Smid, and one of my 2 favourite overall players in Gagner.

Gagner would go to second line center between Kane and Sharp when he comes back.
Bolland would go back to third line where he is best, but that would screw up the current third line of Bickell-Shaw-Stalberg which has been great this year.
Smid would probably play with Leddy. Oduya and Hjalmarsson are playing great together and you don't break up Keith and Seabrook. Leddy is the one who gets the revolving partner.
