Her FaceBook page is still there. I don't know her at all, but she's a friend of Walter's and a friend of a bunch of good decent gamers. And she's a chick who likes old games. I like chicks who like old games.

Interestingly enough, Retrocade Magazine, where Cat is the Managing Editor, has their own "Retroboard" where they list a lot of historic scores from a variety of different sources, none of which they were the original source for: RetroBoard - Retrocade Magazine

Sounds a bit like ChamPOW (but much less sophisticated)?

I actually bought the last issue of Retrocade Magazine. I doubt I'll buy the current one now.

I suppose the distinction may be that Retrocade was protecting "forgotten" scores which were no longer available elsewhere for the noble purpose of preservation. With Twin Galaxies though the scores are still available... Oh wait.... Hmm... I guess they're currently "forgotten" scores too?

Even less ground when you consider Mark Alpiger at CAGDC copied scores (the vast majority straight from Twin Galaxies) for his own "True Arcade Gaming World Records". - ***True* arcade gaming world records page* @* Classic Arcade Gaming (dot com)**

This scoreboard had been up for years so what ChamPow is doing is hardly a new concept.

Cat De Spira is an active member at CAGDC by the way.

After some more thought, I'm going to retract this. I plan on continuing to buy Retrocade Magazine going forward when the topics interest me. I think Rob Maerz (the Editor-In-Chief and founder) is passionate about the hobby and doing a good thing, even if I think Cat is seriously off-target with regard to chamPOW, Kong.and RU. The hobby is small enough already and I'd like to try (although I sometimes fail) and emphasis the things that bring us together rather than the divisiveness that crops up all to often and all too easily.
