The 50,000 bonus is very fickle.Sometimes you seem to be awarded it others not - even though you do the same thing.

Wait for "pod" to flash white (hitting it before and you can't get bonus) Then try and hit the centre immediately before the other 4 parts join up with it. A friend of mine - let's call him "Brara" says that anticipating when the pod will flash white is the key.

The 1 million Cleopatra Bonus is on the last purple landscape area of level 11. On the right hand side you shoot into an empty space Then the statue appears then you have to shoot it some more. Watch BBH's twitch video from the scoreboard for an easy "how to"

Any shot which hits the boss BEFORE it flashes, adds another shot you need to take it down.

Ill try and get a video up. These bonuses are a massive point boost so we should try and work it out

Some pointers:

When the music changes (at 0:50) no enemies will appear and you know a mid-boss is coming up. Use this cue to position yourself near the top centre of the screen

The boss flashes white just before the two side pieces enter the screen.
Best way to judge this is look at the distance between the bottom piece and the boss. Get familiar with how close it will be.

You need to hit approximately 8 shots from when it flashes.
Any shots you hit BEFORE this, it will add to the total needed.
Playing the vid back at 0.25x speed, you can see I shoot a couple before it flashes and manage to get the bonus - anticipate it, being early shouldn't cost you.

Not much more I can say to help. I save-stated this until I got it consistently.

Also for the end of stage boss:

If the hundreds digit in your score is EVEN he will go to the RIGHT
If it is ODD, he will go LEFT
