Rough Clears

I finally cleared Predator on the NES yesterday. But I think I used 5 continues, maybe 6 which would get it disqualified from being cleared. It got ugly a couple of times, especially on the 13th level. I'm thinking of going back through it and re-clearing the game using one or no continues.

Have you guys had any games that you finally beat but were not proud of how bad it was to get there? Or were you just relieved to get a game over with despite it not being your best work?

I'm not ever very satisfied with clearing Contra or POW or Life Force with the 30 man code...

Punch-out!! for NES: beat Tyson by decision on a few occasions, but never got the TKO.

I decided one day I was going to do whatever I had to in order to clear Double Switch for the Sega CD. That ended up being downloading an emulator, and abusing the hell out of save states.
