You've come to the right place my friend. Thought I'd open this as somewhere to openly talk about the High Score Arcade NES and FLASH and ridicule/congratulate your opponents.
It used to be Curveball , Plops, and Run n Gun that were the most popular and highly contested/coveted awards before the site explosion. Let's see what games take the cake now. Go ahead, praise, bark, list your faves!
I would just like to say that the Curveball trophy is right where it belongs, with me. Isn't that right Kreamer?
Funny story. When I was handing out points after the contest I had to give some to Crayon. The problem is you have to type their name in the field exactly. I've misspelled Crayfish's name so many times I forgot how to spell it correctly and had to go and check.
I don't know about you guys, but I see some people placing some WEAK scores just to get a trophy. At least when Tenser did it, he was testing games and doing moderator stuff. I wasn't going to really concern myself with the arcade as much this time around (it's all about the badges:mrgreen I am in the top three with only one NES score as of this post. I think I am going to go on a little crusade of sorts, put some people in there place, and regain my spot. I don't mind being second or third, but only when people are at least try. If there is anyone else who wants in, be my guest, the crusade starts.....NOW!!!!:kakashi:
I can say from experience that poor scores for the sake of trophies, do not last. Feel free to knock them off, but feel no need to. Someone will get to them eventually, a score of 100 is just as much "low lying fruit" as no score at all.
Some are even going for high score of zero. A bit silly. You go to the effort to submit a minimal score for every game so you can be on the podium but in one month all of those scores will be blasted away.
Where if you spent the time to get one or two impressive scores they might stay there for a year.
By the way. I think my hexagon high score will be a permanent fixture.
In the Flash, you could get a low high score if you are the first one to play it, and you could just play it to try it out. NES, though, is a different story.

Definately farming. I made it farther than that. Nice try. Not illegal, but not legit. Try beating my score without farming.

such a score was because i was trying to beat that loony darth dark.
that shows up during level 1 it took me a few times to get him
and second i wasn't trying to farm there for your info,
and really you kinda picked a lame game adventure island
to challange me on.But everyone has a game there good at

According to the DDQ Charter, I can't farm, so I probably won't beat that score anytime soon (I would feel bad farming intentionally; not to mention I would be kicked off my team). Challenges go both ways.

Rep doesn't come along that easily. You need to actually earn it. Such as, if I challenge someone and they beat me, I will give them rep. If they totally kill my score I might even give them a small donation. I repeat....if I challenge someone, not if they challenge me.

Grr tell me about it i had trouble with doing even one trick
but basicaly thats what i ment if someone could get even
a few point with in reach of your score they should get rep
for that kinda effort.
