I downloaded a driver some years ago and I could use my PS3 controller on my computer. I think it is the same one from your article. If you don't follow the instructions right it's hard to get it to work, but after I tried it a second time it worked great. Sure no motion sensor, but I really liked it. It was the first time I played Mario 64. I haven't used it again because I'm to lazy to connect the controller and remember the buttons I configured. I installed windows 7 on my computer so I don't know if it will work with windows 7, but for vista and xp it should work fine.

I just know I heard of a disclaimer that it could screw up your comp.

Interesting... well, my boyfriend also installed it on his computer when we first found out about this and after I installed mine and helped him figure out why his didn't work, everything was fine. I suppose it is possible.

i have had trouble getting it to work with windows 7, but i used this for a while now with my xp machine.

If you have a wired PS3 controller. (Only wired, not the normal PS3 controller) it will work without having to download stuff. Generic PS3 controllers work well.

I actually found i way to use sixaxis tonight with windows 7. The program is called motioninjoy. Its not simple at all, but i am a dumb ass and maybe i took the long way around. I had to use joytokey in conjunction with this, because arcadeox full mode would recognize the the contoller and i could input the commands in the controller menu, but the game would not respond. Score mode worked fine, just had to figure out the button numbers. Biggest pita is that you have to disable the driver signing, which in the instructions state to hit F8 on each boot, but on my asus you have to hit tab first, and you have to do this every boot to get the driver to run. This is only on the 64 bit of windows 7.

oh i had that backwards, full mode works good once you map the buttons out with joytokey after installing motioninjoy, score mode seems to be the pita, sorry
