How do I allow ArcadeOX files through Norton?
- Are you interested in running TeamViewer? No.
- What is your OS? Vista.
- What is your browser? Firefox 3.6.4
- List at least one game and system that is causing your problem. All.
- What Play Mode is causing the problem? Example ArcadeOX Full, ArcadeOX score.
- Has it ever worked correctly before? Yes.
- Describe the problem. When I try and run a game in ArcadeOX, my anti-virus Norton will cause a message to pop up that says "Threat Detected: ScoreFX.exe" the file changes based on which system I am trying to play, but the idea is the same. Firefox always stops responding for a second before the game loads up, but since the game is stopped from loading, Firefox cannot resume.
I am using the Beta for the new ArcadeOX.
How do I go about allowing the files through Norton?

Re: How do I allow ArcadeOX files through Norton?
This happened to me, too.
Try going to history. Go to the info that tells you that it was blocked. If it is quarintined, you should be able to allow it. Go to options on the right, and there should be an option that says Restore File. Click that, and it should allow it.

Re: How do I allow ArcadeOX files through Norton?
I had gone thru the same problem with Norton. I had to go into Norton and look for the option to allow the ArcadeOX file to run without blocking it due to seeing it as a threat. I did exactly what brawls said and it worked.

Re: How do I allow ArcadeOX files through Norton?
I can't find the option in Norton to view Norton's history, that is what I want to know how to do.

Re: How do I allow ArcadeOX files through Norton?
Ok so you open up Norton. On your left hand side you should be able to read: COMPUTER and next to that you'll see SETTINGS. Click on SETTINGS. Now here make sure you're on the COMPUTER SETTINGS Tab. Now look for EXCLUSIONS and click on SCAN EXCLUSIONS. Here you need to look for ArcadeOX and set it so that Norton stops blocking you. That should be it.

Re: How do I allow ArcadeOX files through Norton?
Thanks, I can't seem to find ArcadeOX wherever I look.
I also don't have the same options.
When I open Norton, I see:
PC Security, Identity Protection, Backup and PC Tuneup.

Re: How do I allow ArcadeOX files through Norton?
I see. Well then just look around in all of your options. Try PC security, you might have something there.

Re: How do I allow ArcadeOX files through Norton?
For me, I had to click the thing in the history that said "Threat detected Scorexf.exe" and allow it through the options.

Re: How do I allow ArcadeOX files through Norton?
Some versions of Norton label files as threats if they are new. It considers anything it hasn't seen several times as a potential virus. The emulator exes were updated recently so the number of people that have used Norton and the new files in the past couple weeks is low which is causing the problem.
I am busy with real life for the next week or two. If you are still having problems when I get some more free time, we can try to connect through chat and get it taken care of.
Norton isn't a very good anti-virus.

I use NOS myself. Prolly switching to avast when it expires in a few days. Friend of mine uses it and I used it on my old laptop briefly. Just annoying for the audio.

Re: How do I allow ArcadeOX files through Norton?
When I get a new computer, I'm not going to install Norton. I'll go for Avast. Right now, I'm not going to remove Norton.
Oh, and I dealt with the problem well over a year ago, just so you know.
