I prefer the older version over this one. Also it seems like the buttons aren't as working 100% when I push them. I might need a new keyboard, not sure.

Exactly, I think it really is just those buttons slowly dieing(and possibly left and right on the numberpad). I was happening on Xmen too, I tend to mash the keys when I get frustrated.

It seems like you have some of the most active people on RU (on the message boards at least). They just aren't playing or trying to help your team in any way.

He's not around anymore, neither is Tails. I was forced to boot both of them prior to this contest. I've had all kinds of trouble just fielding teams since I took over. Part of it, I think, was my disastrous decision to mandate that all prospective members take a test prior to joining. I had too many spaces open, since David, Ashums, and JoS were leaving. It didn't feel right to try to recruit someone and then say "Wait, you've got to take the test first". Others were somewhat interested, but didn't want to take the test. After the first contest, Oasis, Tails, and Shades were gone. Not really seeing any new active members who weren't getting swept up by Eternal Champions or Vicious Breed, I decided to bide my time and wait to fill those spots. Unfortunately, this contest came up much earlier than I thought it would and I was forced to scramble to fill the team again at the eleventh hour. I will give my team a warning. Some of them have a legitimate reason to not participate.

I'm just not sure we have enough people to field four teams.

That's right. My bad. I was thinking TNT was his brother. True then, I haven't seen Oasis since the Star Trek TNG Mystery game.

I think there might be some newer people who are interested in joining. I agree with you about the test thing, though. I think you may have scared some people off.

For me, having someone on the team with some skills is important, but passion for gaming is more important. I have seen some people on here who are very good gamers, but never post in the forums, and never show up for the Team Contests. No matter how good someone is, if they don't show up to play, it really doesn't matter.

Both Smittycal and Kevin are newer to the site, and technicaly hadn't had much gaming history on RU, but I saw in them what I thought was an enthusiam for the games and for the social side of RU, so I offered them a spot. I think they have both worked out great thus far, and hopefully they have been enjoying the challenge.

That policy was implemented after the second team contest by Oasis and Tails. We were 2-0, and we had tons of people interested in joining. It worked then, but I made a mistake in continuing that policy.

Well, I guess you don't know sometimes until you try. It's a shame so few people are participating for you, though. You have some good players, but they just aren't playing. I know that's got to be a bummer.

It's just deflating. I have a feeling of hopelessness right now that's affecting my play. But, at least I submit a score. I think that might be part of the problem here, as I haven't done a very good job convincing them that we can win this.

No I'm back, just got back, Qix eh? I love this game

Edit: ... wow, that is an improvement from the gb one I know, in the GB one, it's just a series of lines you have to avoid and there is some little sparky things on the lines you make, Volified is really chaotic, but fun. Score submitted.

Tanc, you have to finish the game (complete level 6) to get that many points. After you win, the game gives you a 20K finishing bonus + 1K for every second left on the clock. It also deducts 1K for every time you die.
