Sony pulling out all of it's stores and offices in Canada too I hear?

If so, good riddance. I used to like them. Having nothing but issues with their "High end" products this past year. Treat all my electronics super well yet a Ps2 Controller just stopped working this year, phone has gone concave literally, the entire thing, and not the way you'd expect being that it sits face down in my pocket always when it's there. 27" Tube Tv (good for gaming on RCA consoles with no input lag) buzzes like there's no tomorrow. Ps3 controller broke open on the triggers out of the blue. Oh man, I can go on and on. Really, there's more. Anything Sony in my house is on the fritz, other than this 4:3 computer monitor that I dual with a 16:9 insignia. Being that you generally pay more for sony stuff, and have historically gotten a better product. It sucks. A Magnavox / GE Tube TV should not be holding up better than a Sony that's 15 years newer than it.

Rant over anyways. I had heard that. watch it not even be true anywho xD

Around where I live Target is great. A few things are more expensive there but I never have to worry about the quality of the items, like with Walmart. They also have great service, Walmart is atrocious.

Wal Mart where I am is fine. Other than this old Russian guy at the electronics section that always is in a bad mood. Always chucks everythign onto the counter after buzzing it through. Then I went to buy my dad a streaming device for father's day and he chucked that thing. Broke it possibly. Had to ask for a new one. Only complaint here anyways.

To my knowledge, Target took over a store here called Zellers that I always liked. Good prices. Had a nice electronics section and a little restaurant dealio. Only thing they lacked was a refrigerated section, which I think gave them business issues. Hopefully they come back now, but I have no idea if they exist anymore.

We also have Superstore, which is pretty abysmal.

How's Tim Horton's doing in the states? Really popular coffee shop here. Heard they put 1 store in new york a few years ago, and now there is like 20 already.

Nobody I know of in New York likes Tim Horton's. Dunkin' Donuts is the huge coffee shop around here.

Yeah, I'm aware. Never got to trying that one I don't think.

We pretty much only ate out while at PAX in August, and not well mostly. Wasn't a fan of a lot of the food. A lot of the "tastes good now, but feels horrible later" dealio. Often just tasted too greasy.

Tried Carls Jr (which is here now... somewhat), Crispy Cream I think it was called, which were probably both mistakes. Jack in The box as well.

Applebees & Chessecake factory were good. Same with some other restaurant.

One interesting thing to note is that while at the other restaurant. I was asked how I want my burger. You know, like steaks. Rare, medium-well, etc. For a burger. That doesn't exist in Canada. Burgers have to be cooked well done. As a health thing. Caught me off guard, and I didn't think about it much, so I said Medium Rare, like I would to a steak. Got back a pinkish burger. Just an interesting note you guys may not know of. That doesn't exist here. Luckily I didn't get sick and the burger was good, but it was a possibility being that my body is not used to under cooked burgers.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but they have some really good stuff other than that.

Actually had the most Canadian day ever the other day. Sis bought me a Taylor Hall Oilers jersey for xmas. Needed a reason to use it. Went out to play some outdoor hockey with some friends, while wearing that and a toque. Went out for a rip there with my buds, in my truck to Timmy's eh, where I asked for a hot chocolate, yet was given some maple chocolate drink instead (girl was new, so I just went with it. I know how it is, and I'm not one of those customers).

Nothing super interesting. Just something I found funny and very stereotypical that day. Especially with the maple drink being out of my control. I always tell the story that way. Adds to it.

Yeah we have people here that eat raw hamburg, they're weird. I've tried it but I prefer my food cooked and safe for digestion.

It depends on the quality of place you go. If you're eating at some fast food joint or shitty diner you're not going to get an option how you want your burger cooked. If you're going to some cheap family joint like a Friendly's, you might get a choice like "pink or no pink." Generally a nice place will give you a full range of options for near anything that includes cooking beef.

Your stomach shouldn't have an issue with a medium-rare burger if that's how you have your steaks cooked. Personally I like my steaks Pittsburgh Rare while I like my burgers medium-well.

Also, pay no heed to Dudebro. Raw beef is delicious and harmless if handled properly. Don't be a nancy, expand your horizons.

Every restaurant I can think of gives you options from rare to well done. I have heard of some places that only serve Medium to well done though, for safety. Not everyone will have the same reactions to uncooked meat. Some people get really sick.
