I had a huge list of movies picked out, but someone took them all down.


It's a shame because RU Kitty and I took some time sifting through the crap on you tube finding them .. but we can find them once more I'm sure.

By the way, I want to add that most nights both she and I are in the retrouprising channel on CyTube
just in case anyone wants to join us.

3 or 4 people suddenly logged out the other night after I told a bad joke .. I said something like 'get out' to someone, but I was not serious!
.. then I bumped the GTA 4 spoof vids someone posted ..

From now on, I will not interfere with the 'retrouprising channel' playlist unless asked to - because I feel like I really pooped the party .. sorry about that.

Something funny was happening on screen {or at least I was making fun of whatever it was} and I was in a giddy mood and not really thinking about what I was typing ..

Someone had posted a series of GTA 4 spoof videos where Anime characters are superimposed over the normal characters of the game, resulting in the visual gag of seeing Anime girls in dresses with bows in their hair {etc.} acting out the parts of hardened criminal types as seen in the series.

Someone hit the 'voteskip', then another person said to skip it, then another person said they didn't want to sit through all that, so .. I bumped their GTA videos.

It was just then {for some strange reason} I thought it would be funny to tell someone to off {basically, 'if you don't like it then get out' } and in an instant *POOF* 3 or 4 people logged out.



Shortly after that I suggested that there should be an alternative channel so people have some choices, and here we are.

I doubt it was a person. It might have been an issue with the site. The only people who have access to moderate the queue are Wulph, Katzy, Crispy,
NT, yourself, and I. Maybe Borl or Tailsy.

You shouldn't leave a list of movies uploaded anyways. If a group wanted to watch videos other than the movies you had picked out and none of them were moderators they wouldn't be able to.

Ten, you're right, it's better to post the movies as - needed.
With that in mind, I went to take down the list still there and, while I was at it posted a 5 hour compilation for old drive in theater ads.

The downside of all of this is the fact that, while I went to play the ad compilation, the link to The Room disappeared .. so it will have to be re - posted.

Sorry about that.
I was only trying to do what was suggested {a good idea, by the way} but on a happier note I am very interested in seeing this 'Room' movie now after all that's being said about it.

I'm just going to try to forge ahead on this, since I really want to watch this movie. Tonight at 8 EST, RU Movie Night presents Tommy Wiseau's The Room.


After that, the second feature shall be the Mystery Science Theater classic, Manos: The Hands of Fate.

Put on a pot of coffee Manos has a lot of slow parts. It's good for a laugh if you think about how stupid they must've been to think those shots were good though.

I had no idea. I haven't had TV in years.

Whoo boy, that was mind-numbingly awful. I've seen Manos before, but The Room was almost as bad. There were four sex scenes in about twenty minutes, Tommy Wiseau can't say anything correctly, they are obsessed with playing catch with a football, and it is just so incredibly repetitive(although not as repetitive as Manos).

Here's my favorite scene from The Room:

Both movies have ultra creepy characters. I'm having a hard time determining whether Denny or Torgo is the creepier one.

This, and I want to add that the only thing creepier than Torgo or Denny from Manos had to be Johnny from The Room.
He was one of the creepiest characters in any movie I've watched.
Does Tommy Wiseau always look like that?
Seriously I didn't see his eyes fully open for the entire movie {and I wonder if they ever were?}.

All in all, it turned out to be everything people say it is, and it could possibly be the worst movie.
It was like a kind of torture to have to watch that show!!



At least Manos Hand of Fate had the robots to help us get through it.

Now that I think about... The Room has to be a troll. I don't believe that they managed to get an entire cast of actors who are that far below average acting ability. -That includes people who have never acted a day in their lives.

Yeah, I have absolutely zero experience in film making, and I'm certain that I could gather a group of random friends and put together a film that would be of higher quality than that. The only other possibility is that Wisseau had a wierd vision that he was committed to, and sincerely believes that what he isprodicing is something ground breaking or something, like as if everything that was so terrible about the film was intentional, only he thought it was good. Kinda like someone who is tone deaf and truly believes they are a great singer.

If you read up on the movie they say he got these wanna be actors because they were cheap and they never thought the movie was gonna be any good. They also didn't expect to get mocked so mercilessly for years after. The one who played Lisa refuses to talk about the movie or make any appearances. The only one who shows up with Tommy is Mark, my wife and I saw them play catch on stage - it was as awkward as it sounds.

Appearances? - I would think anyone remotely involved with this project would have hidden on some deserted island after a face - change operation to make sure it never haunted them again.
I nearly gouged my own eyes out half way through watching it.

My wife really likes going to see The Room at a hipster theater in Boston -
Coolidge Corner Theatre Foundation
We saw a couple shows without Tommy and it was pretty funny because of the crowd participation. People were reciting some of the better lines (in unison) and asking questions (again in unison) like "WHERE ARE WE?" during those ridiculously long landscape shots.

Seeing it with Tommy and Mark there is a whole different thing. You're there to mock their movie. Tommy ran down the line of people outside slapping hands and shouting things in his version of english, I couldn't make it out. He answered questions on stage but he gave bizarre answers to even mundane stuff like "what did you eat for breakfast?". Then he got an uncomfortable looking Mark to play catch with a water bottle, it went on way too long too.

The best part is a bit graphic though. NSFW, it looked like he either had a giant dong or he stuffed his jeans with a summer sausage. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I hope it was real so he at least has that to keep him out of a soul crushing depression. If it was fake then it's just gravy on his crazy train.

Sorry to go off on this in your topic but it was a very surreal experience and I have to tell people.
