Most contests are designed for the member's enjoyment and not my own. The reason RU hosts contests are to provide you guys with some added entertainment. This challenge isn't that difficult, why should I swoop in and take that from a member like I had to previously. This contest is designed to let members post up there unique ideas for challenges that are difficult but not nearly impossible.

Again, there's no fun in this badge just sitting under Hobbes' avatar for a year, but in my judgement there's no real difficulty in taking this besides a lack of stick-to-it-ness. If I felt I needed to step in, I would have. That being said, I'm very glad to see someone interested in this contest again.

That's the reason why I didn't change it, it was not that hard. It's not even the best I can do, I died a few times so someone could do it in a reasonable amount of time.

And I'm glad that someone will beat it, I like new challenges, it's fun to see what people come up with.

Also Tenser was on vacation for quite a while, so that could be why he never decided to beat it.

hobbes by the way you get +rep because i remember when i was a kid i used to play this game with my cousin ... it was so cool because he was older than me... i used to let him get all the good weapons because i was not very good so thanks for bringing back the memories...

and if tenser approves it im going to make my challange a scavenger hunt... but will be easy yet fun... that is when i beat this puck

Even funnier. I just got a mental image of the puck. Imagine this:

The ref is in the center of the rink. The two opposing players are facing off (In this instance it is david man45 and oasis). The clock is set. The game is ready to start. The ref quickly drop the puck. The audience watches in suspense....waiting...waiting...WHAT THE HECK

Neither one of them is making a move...20 seconds pass.....30......40....50!!!

And so goes the story of the pass the puck challenge.

the game is fine acctually i just have not gotten a chance to play and also ive thought about what i want my puck to be and tenser remined me i have to prove i can do it... so im going to start doing my challance get everything ready then take this so i dont lose my puck to tenser becaues i did not get to play for a week like what happened last week. or maybe ill beat this when i get a chance just not claim it till im ready...

Zelda II: The Adventures Of Link

now i know what you are thinking to your self "I beat this game back in the 80's this will be a piece of cake" and yes it will be easy. But I have some rules for you to fallow while you play the game.

1.Save states WILL be allowed (you can say thank you)
2.Time shift buffer WILL be allowed (you can say thank you again)

with that in mind you should be saying well this will be easy.

but you must collect a few things in the process of beating the game. I have made examples of everything you must do to get this puck so here they are in the order that i did them but you can do them in any order you want

1. The main mission in this puck is to get a level 8 sword a level 8 magic a level 8 life and also all 8 magic bars as well as all 8 health bars before you beat the game (basically max out all your stats then beat the game)

2. Defeat the Brown Axe Thrower that guards the hammer with out getting hit. Then grab the hammer(instead of just jumping over him)

3. Take a screen shot of the kings tomb

4. Take a picture of link holding 2 different mini link extra lives

5. Find a points bag worth 500 points and take a screen shot of the 500

6. Defeat a brown knight with out getting hit and without jumping

7. Defeat a Blue Hammer thrower (you CAN get hit on this one because its hard to dodge those hammers)

8. Defeat a blue thunder bird in the grand palace without getting hit.

BONUS
I am offering anyone who can provide me a video of them defeating every castle boss with there sword, magic, and life stats at a value of 5 or more (have sword at 5+ magic at 5+ life at 5+)
if you can do this I will personally award you with 3000 of my own points

now to sweeten that pot a little bit more I will provide the best place to level up your stats for a fee of 1000 points (you pay me 1000 points I tell you the best and quickest way to level up) why would you want to do that?
well it will give you an edge over the competitors knowing where to save precious time. You have to get max stats anyways so you mine as well make things easier for you and pick up some extra points.

What thats not enough for you... fine what i will also do is keep the person that payed me name confidential so no one knows your getting a bonus tip... what still not enough... fine i will take the 1000 points that i get and add that to the bonus total so if i get 3 people that pay me 1000 points if you win the bonus challenge you will get 6000 points... WHAT still not enough... fine if someone completes the puck and does not meat the criteria for the bonus then i will refund your 1000 points... so you lose nothing.
WARNING: THIS BONUS IS NOT REQUIRED TO GET THE PUCK (but it will help and you will earn extra points)

@kong and to answer your question no it was not fun dying and replaying like 30 times but it was fun to finnaly beat a game i remember playing way back when i was a kid that i never beat... ahh the memories

Do we have enough save states, gif states, etc. to show ALL the requirements.

Last Area, when the ceiling drops down on you, and those guys attack you from all angles, the fire shoe works better, then the spread shot.

Oh and since i don't want the puck back right away, people you have about a month to do this before I just go ahead and beat it. That should give you enough time.

It's really harder to get the hammer at a low level.

yes it is this should acctually be a really easy challange since im allowing save states it took me about 5-6 hours total to beat it not much challange everything i listed you would probably do in the course of a normal game anyways.
