I mentioned earlier in the thread, I got about 10 hours into the Abyss and I had enough. The game was decent but it was just waaayyyy to heavy on the story. I think there was more story than game to be honest. So get it if you like that kinda thing, avoid it if you don't.

I'm gonna snag Heroes too.

Am I reading that right? The XL is August 19?! Just Japan or NA also?

I know I will want the Castlevania game. I am a sucker for that series.

Be warned that this one is a whole new beast, it may not quench your Castevania thirst. Did you pick up a 3DS?

Yes I did. I only have two games for it right now because I am cheap but I finally had to have it to play Super Street Fighter IV on the go. Can't believe how long it took me to find a copy of that game in my area.

Question, why would you buy the XL when you already have the 3DS? Bragging rights?

All I spend money on is video games, it's what I do with my spare cash. This one looks like I may be able to use the d-pad too. That being said I'll probably wait for a price drop.

I wonder if games are going to be designed for the larger screen, or maybe some already have been? Notice no second slidepad?

The pixel resolution is the same, there won't be any technical difference in how games run on system.

I'll upgrade to the XL probably in March. It's suppose to have a better battery life and larger 3D "sweet spot".

It appears the 2 VC games a week is just for 5 or 6 weeks. They're calling it the "8-bit Summer".

From everything I've read, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate is suppose to not be like it's predecessor and be more "Metroidvania" with ramped up combat difficulty.

Cool news on the 3DS XL. The only bummer is, due to the larger screen, it will be harder to play while driving.

So, I bought Mario Kart 7 today (add it to my list please). Kind of a last minute decision on the drive up here, but I own it now. Been more interested in seeing the classic levels they have, so played through some of those.

I just finished the Heroes of Ruin demo. It was free in the eShop and I wanted it for my birthday so I decided to test out the demo. I was pretty impressed by the demo. I got to be two classes as I did two playthroughs (the demo is like half an hour). I like the Gunslinger more than the other available class. The controls take a bit of time to get used to but I adjusted finely. You get about 5 quests total for the demo, 4 side quests and the main quest that ends the demo once you beat it. I can't wait until I get this game now!

I'll be picking this game up as well when it comes out next week. Supposedly there will be daily and weekly online quests a la DQIX as well.

Been enjoying Mario Kart 7 quite a bit. Playing it every day here and there, and it's great. I think my favourite level is honestly Snes Rainbow Road. All the levels are great though, I think the only level I really don't care much for is Music Road.

Got gold in all of 50cc and 100cc. 3 trophies in 150cc so far. Decided to try a couple of races online. I won both races by a mile

Quit while I was ahead, plus I'm at the lake, so yeah.
