Well he did have a video released four days before his death that seems to hint on his impending death. So in a way even in death he went out on his own terms.

Same for me. I was just browsing Reddit before bed and all of a sudden I saw this. Really surprising.

WTF 69 is a bad age to be in 2016. I'm very sad to hear about Alan Rickman - this is the first news of it I've seen...

I didn't care about Rickaman until I was informed by a friend today that he was the Sherrif of Nottingham in Robin Hood. Now I think he was awesome, I wonder who else I didn't know he was...

Hans Gruber - Die Hard. I'm sure you've seen Die Hard right Cass?
It's funny how different people have different perceptions of an Actor's best movies. On the day he died I heard it here on the site first, but in the Car on the way to dropping off our 4 year old at day care before going to work they teased on the radio his death and that he was from one of the most beloved movies of all time.
My thoughts went to Die Hard since I love that movie, but when they came back they suggested Love Actually which is not a movie I liked.

Seen Die Hard when I was little, don't remember it. Only thing I know him from is Robin Hood, and 1 Harry Potter. Seemed like a very talented guy.

Re: dead celebrities
R.I.P to Dave Mirra,
Anyone who was into BMX or Skating in the mid-nineties knows this name. He was the best BMX rider around when I first started out on my old junker with a Mongoose sticker on the downtube.
Suicide apparently, fuckin moron.
---------- Post added at 07:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:20 AM ----------
Oh yeah, he also had a few bmx vidya with his name in the title, and lets not forget the controversial BMX XXX lol.

It's funny about celebrity deaths. Most of the time you don't really care. You just think about it for a few seconds and tell whoever is in the room with you. Then every now and again one comes up that really resonates with you. This is like that for me. When I was 15 ripping around on my bike and blasting with testosterone, this guy was the peoples champ. He was on cloud nine at every photo op. Makes you think about about the human psyche, like what the fuck made him kill himself, he was a goddamn super hero. Seems like for every up there is an equal and opposite down, regardless of the heights.

Re: dead celebrities
Three other celebs besides Mirra died yesterday as well: Maurice White of Earth, Wind and Fire at 74 from Parkinson's , ECW Original Axl Rotten at 44 from undisclosed causes and Joe Alaskey, who voiced Bugs Bunny and company from Mel Blanc's death in 1989 to 1995 as well as for rare projects in the 2000s at the age of 63 from cancer

Re: dead celebrities
R.I.P. to Axl Rotten, but I'm sorry this headline is too funny:
"Axl Rotten Reportedly Found Dead Outside of a McDonald’s, Rotten’s Mother Comments, Overdose Suspected But Not Confirmed"
Makes it sound like the 10 nuggets for $1.49 deal finished him lol.

Have a little compassion. Obviously the guy had problems he kept private and it overwhelmed him. I doubt he made the decision lightly. I've seen a few pics of him recently and it looks like he was forcing smiles, like he was hiding his depression or something. He must've felt like it was too big to ever overcome if he did it and left behind a family.

They think he may have had CTE, the same thing a lot of retired NFL players have that wreaks havoc on their brains

I will show compassion to those he left behind, but he will get none from me. I don't care about if's and's or but's, you don't do that to your loved ones, full stop.

Re: dead celebrities
Celebrity deaths usually don't effect me all too much, but I'm pretty bummed about Maurice White, man was an incredible composer, drummer, and singer. and I really dig a lot of Earth, Wind & Fire's stuff.
