It was new to me too when RU first got it. I felt the same way as you at first but after trying tons of games that weren't so stellar I kinda lost that excitement. Don't worry though there is a lot of cool stuff on Amiga, just beware of the bad.

Talk to the Bagel Bros. They grew up with the system and could point you in the direction of the more stellar games.

I just noticed "Plan 9 From Outer Space" on the list of upcoming Amiga games. We need to have this game! If the movie is any indication then this should be a huge hit on RU!

what are you guys talking about? what plan 9

? is this about the platform game or shoot em up game similar to the shock troopers or strikers 1945 series(and other game relatives),

or is this like one of those award winning movies like saving private ryan and independence day?

i just wanna know.

Plan 9 from outerspace is an old movie made in 1959. It's so bad it's good. It's become legendary because some people consider it the worst movie ever made(it's not, trust me).

It's actually a point and click adventure like Deja Vu. I didn't realize that before but now that I've seen it I'm more interested in playing it when we eventually add it.

I just use the arrow keys. Up and down to select one or two player, Ctrl to confirm. Left and right to select your turtle bros, Ctrl again to confirm.

Ok I get it started and am able to play after I beat the bad guys that are there then the game seems to freeze. I can still move but noting is happening I'm gonna move on and try another game.

If I had known how good some of those Amiga games are back in the day ..
All I'm saying that I think the RU crowd are a lucky bunch indeed to be able to play them.
{and the literally hundreds more games of various systems, not to mention Old Time Radio}

I completed 2 more Amiga games today.
Yes, I'm feeling proud.

You know I'm not that good of a Gamer, and one of them was really difficult to play - Danger Castle » Amiga and I had to play it since neither HOL or Lemon had a manual.

It's a 'junior' achievement, I know, but those are the first two I've done in a long time now - dating back before my Plugin issue with Firefox I think.

I intend to get back into the Amiga more so we can get those up on the list with the rest of the systems in the Game Menu.
I would very much like to see them done.
As a matter of fact I think I'll crank another one out.

Don't feel bad I haven't come close to beating any Amiga games and I've loaded up hundreds. Granted I mainly loaded them up to check for errors but some were fun and I did play for a while. But as per usual I didn't go very far into them.
