I just want to beat the game. I'm not great at shooters, but I still try. Even with all the continues, I only got to level 6. But I have been trying. Even when this thread was slow.

Quit cryin' and play the game. I've been trying to beat this on and off for months. My best is the last level on my last continue. I may not beat Hobbes' challenge, but I'm not going to ask for a new challenge until someone beats his. This isn't supposed to be easy, it's for a badge for cryin' out loud (which a bunch of you are doing)

You can't beat the first level?
It's a shooter, it's contra, you blast everything in sight!
Oh and it's not score, my challenge is to have more guys at the end.

i dont understand what it means by play in the arcade. i would really like to try this challenge but im not sure if you just play it like normal and submit the sreenshot or what... any help?

i can already beat the game i just need to do it with out dying i get to stage 6 without dying then i get to 1 hard part...

This challenge is not the best that I can do, I wanted someone to beat to be able to beat it.

You have to do it in the arcade, so I know that you did not use save stats.

All you need to do is play the game in score mode (use the extra life code) and beat the game with 15 lives remaining. When you submit the score make sure it is the screen with the score and number of lives remaining.

Knowing Oasis Hobbes, when he sets any kind of goal he will complete it.

Look at Bases Loaded 3 for an example.

as i said when i first joined here theres no way i can win this since my weakness is shooters and hopefully everyone knows that it is.

@hobbes i know you can do better at my calculations when i was playing through the game in full mode with save states i saw where i died and over came ... i died 4 times in the game at the same spots and generated 6 lives through the corse of the games with a score of 200k so at that pace i will earn more lives than i loose through the play through and only have to beat it 5 times... its do able i just have to get time ... and i just want to take the score from you once... thats all...

When Hobbes says in the "arcade" he is referring to onVGP terminology. In RU speak that is Score Mode - here is the link http://www.retrouprising.com/play/NE...playmode=score

To beat this challenge and get the badge you have to use the above link and press T to submit your score when the screen looks like the above image. You have to have 15 or more lives.
