While brainstorming game idea's it crossed my mind, it's actually a viable option, both SH nd EA are masters of it, as well as a handful of others who are proficient, while odds are that no-one on the other teams ever played it... maybe not the best option of course though.

On AA, we more or less refer to sandbagging as someone who purposely holds aside a score, only to post it at the last minute in order to win a competition. It also means not playing a game to your full skill set (i.e. if Barra was to post a 500k score on Galaga and submit it as a full game <--- not having a go Barra, just an example of someone who is a lot better than that only posting a mediocre score to put other players into a false sense of security). As I understand it, this competition is going to rely on a whole lot of honesty (I believe all that is needed to constitute a score is submitting it, possibly with/without a screenshot/inp). If this honesty basis is good enough for everyone (as it is for me), then it would be nice if everyone agrees to post their score as soon as is humanly possible after they achieve it. If you think you can crush the competition on a title and want to wait until the last day or two to play, then that's fine - but playing early and holding your score back is probably against the spirit of the competition IMO.

P.S. Cheers to Wolf and RU guys for setting this up, it's gonna be a blast.

While I agree with the concept of not sandbagging we also have to understand that each site has it's own validation process. Here we have a video of play with accompanying inputs that has to be watched by one of my Mods (refs).

We're certainly not going to hold a score back here, in fact scores waiting for approval are visible on site. But I also have a site to worry about and I want to make sure every player on the site has the same amount of attention, playing in the contest or not. It may at times take a few days to approve a score for us depending on how many submissions are in the queue and how long the submission video is.

Given that understanding, RU (Team Mediocre) has no issues with the rule if Wolf doesn't.

That rule is pretty much generally accepted throughout the community so everyone should be aware of it. MARP contests have a rule where you have to submit your game within 24 hours after it was achieved. Of course this is made easier to check as they require INP files as well.

tl;dr it shouldnt be a problem

It seems kinda hard to enforce but I think most everyone will agree in the spirit of good sportsmanship.

My anniversary is the 5th so I'll be out of town pretty much the entire first week but if that's not a problem, you can add my name to the list. Just play Speedcoin first because I won't be contributing on that one anyways
