It is extremely hypocritical of America to say hey look, we know we screwed the world up pretty bad but it's time everyone else started fixing it. But hypocritical or not, it is true.



We are getting to, if we have not already passed, the point where we have to make a decision - do we want to stay on our current path or do we want our grandchildren to live in a world with wild polar bears. It is strictly a survival mechanism, the natives are a proud people, and they have a cardinal rule, to use everything they take from the land, they even grind up the bones into food. This is about as far as you can get from a case corporate greed. The Canadian government, who monitors wild life populace cautiously has said that there has been no decline in the population of the bears.

It's retarded to suggest taking action until at least there is a sign of a decline in the well being of the species.

Not true. They issue hunting permits for sport hunting as well. The amount of sport hunting has been on the rise for decades.

There isn't any real debate about whether global warming is a real phenomenon or not. The only organisations that disagree with human-caused climate change are religious groups peddling hokum (that don't want science to be given credence), and big business (that would rather not have to sacrifice profits). And of course, people who have been pwned by the nonsense from these groups.

As for Lord Monckton, he's not even qualified as a Lord, let alone a scientist. Try having a read of one of his papers. They're piffle.

You don't care about the dishonest claim that only bribed scientists support the idea? The consensus is that we are causing it and it's very bad for human and animals. Either way it only takes a small increase to drastically change our climate. If we fall out of the sweet spot it will be very bad for everyone.

The other day I read that we should be approaching an ice age but we're gonna disrupt it because of our pollution. Ice ages are bad for life but we have no idea how bad it could be to throw off the earths natural cycle.

I don't follow this but from what I know of it you're way off. He was in the Nazi youth program, which wasn't something people had much choice about, he was not a soldier. People do bat eyelids about it, it's brought up to mock him constantly. He was a priest or something like that, to become pope you have to serve as one for decades. He was a cardinal before he became pope, they don't just give that title away.
