Re: E3 2012
MS already had their press conference today. Sony's starts at 8pm CST
---------- Post added at 09:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:29 PM ----------
And Sony's press conference was weak as well, only showing 1 game we didn't know was coming.
Main Highlights:
-New game from Quantic Dreams(Heavy Rain, Indigo Prophecy) called Beyond: Two Souls starring Ellen Page
-Playstation All-stars Battle Royale
-Farcry 3 has 4 player coop(and looks like the run of the mill FPS)
-Ps3 will use the Vita as a controller(just like the Wii U tablet)
-Some Move game about interactive books(and we saw a woman struggle to get the game to work right at times)
-The Last of Us...which looks like Uncharted with Zombies

I heard Kojima was supposed to be unveiling something new today, but I couldn't find anything through Google. (Not Revengeance)

I'm pretty sure that game everyone thinks looks great was being played off of a pc (using an xbox controller).

Re: E3 2012
Nintendo Wii U conference:
Well it was really good until about midway, then they started demoing the multiplat games, as well as the usual casual dance games, and I started zoning out. They really spent too much time talking about 'Nintendo Land'.
Pikmin 3 and Scribblenauts Unlimited both sound great though.
Unrelated but was mentioned: New Super Mario Bros 2 on 3DS - USA Aug 19

Re: E3 2012
Did I miss anything exciting? So far everything has been boring and kinda embarrassing. MS was meh, Sony had nothing that stood out and Nintendo had just Mario and Wii stuff like fitness and karaoke crap.
The only thing I noticed that seemed interesting was Watch Dogs. If that turns out to be scripted and linear it will be garbage.

Re: E3 2012
The concept behind Watch Dogs seemed interesting but the demo I saw made the game feel very, very slow. Of course, it was just a demo.
For the most part the big shows were pretty much all a bust. Hopefully the smaller names that I'm interested in will be shown later tonight/tomorrow.

Re: E3 2012
It looks like the Watch Dogs demo was the intro of the game. I'm hoping the rest of the game allows you to choose what kinds of stuff you can do. If you are limited to a couple choices like hack phone or shoot them then it will be boring.

Pretty much this.
Right now though, I'm feeling pretty good about the 3DS talk tomorrow, I think that Nintendo has gotten all their crap out of the way by now, and will focus on games only at that time.
Here's hoping for some new game announcements, and not just more complete versions of the same games shown off last year.
On that note, does anyone else think that some developers announce new games too early? A lot of the stuff shown off at last year's show are still not finished yet, and that more or less defeats the purpose of E3, which is to show off upcoming big games....."upcoming" meaning sooner than one (sometimes or more than one) year later. Anyone else feel this way?

Re: E3 2012
If I cared about any of the three consoles I'd be pretty depressed right now. Then again, after tomorrow night I might be in the same boat. All I got thus far is Heroes of Ruin, Castlevania, and Code of Princess.

I would think that at least three of those titles would sound interesting to you, but I could be wrong. I know I'm a little drawn by some of them.
Most of the games do seem pretty small-time though. Arkham City and Mass Effect 3 at least make me a little happy as they show that the Wii U is up to date with modern consoles. I'm not sure how long that will last, but it's something.

Re: E3 2012
Up to date with current consoles is not impressive it's sad. They need to debut with stuff that is better than the current stuff. ME3 and AC are both old news by now.

I was merely happy that Nintendo is showing to be adequate. It's a sad concept to be thankful that the new console will be passable until the next gen hits, I agree, but at the least, their next console isn't a modded version of the Gamecube... I hope.
Anyways, I'm hoping that, if Valve releases it's console, it will join into this competition between three industries that consistently disappoint half of their fans.

Re: E3 2012
My biggest beef was that there was pretty much nothing new, Watch Dogs does'nt interest me, I'm keeping my hopes in check for the new Castlevania, overall just way too much of the same old stuff.

The speculation is that the WiiU is more powerful than the Xbox 720 is supposed to be, so I don't know what you guys are getting on about. Anyway, I'm all about the 3DS nowadays, so I'm not upset just yet. Plus there is still time for other suprises to surface.

Re: E3 2012
I've never played Assassins Creed but this new one looks pretty awesome-
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eOy2zCuUII]Assassin's Creed 3 Naval Battle Gameplay E3 2012 - YouTube[/ame]
Starts a little slow but it's awesome I promise.
It takes place during the American Revolution-
