Personally, I'm looking down the barrel of
40 coming up in about 4 months, and I've almost had
enough birthdays - you know what I mean?
Sorry if I sound old and Cranky
but I'm becoming convinced that it never mattered how old I was in the first place .
And while I'm talking about it:
Is it just me, or is a year a really
short time?
I mean, the way people talk about a year you'd think it was at least
1000 days, but no, it's a
puny 365.
That's just barely more than 1/3 of a thousand = a mere grain of sand in the hourglass.
Still, I do have a thing for
chocolate cake
although this particular cake looks a bit too crumbly; you should always add a tablespoon or two more oil, use one more egg than the recipe calls for, and make sure to blend the heck out of it before it goes in the pan.
People love cakes I make in this way: they are rich and moist and almost approach a fudge consistency.
{Birthday people take note}
I prefer UN - Birthdays now anyways, so I could have cake almost any day I want!
