I can only imagine how crushing that loss must have been for her. She was on top of the world, magazine covers, late night talk shows, Saturday night live guest host, blockbuster movies... all because of her dominance in the octagon. Then snap, it's all over in an instant. That would be a tough pill to swallow, and not one I'd ever like to try.

SC do you mean her 'fame' went to her head, that her feet were no longer touching the ground?
Like I said, I don't watch this at all but found a clip of this fight on Youtube {oddly enough} and from what I see, Rhonda was somehow unsure how to approach Holly's fighting style, or maybe she simply found Holly was too fast for her.

Ronda is very good at 1 thing, judo. If she gets her hands on her opponent it's over. Now Holly Holm is a world champion boxer, she has incredible striking, footwork, and movement. She lit Ronda up all fight long, compared to the world class boxers she was used to fighting it was no doubt easy for her, Ronda basically has no head movement, it was fish in a barrel. In a judo match Ronda wins easy, in a boxing match Holly wins easily, Holly made it a boxing match.

Yeah, I saw the fight. Ronda simply didn't use her judo. She was standing and fighting Holm like a boxer. Like SC stated, Holm is a world class boxer and kickboxer. Ronda's plan a, b, and c should have been taking Holm to the mat. Even Holm stood right back up when she took down Rousey. I do feel that Rousey's fame and undefeated streak went to her head. Also, Holm was cool as a cucumber while Rousey was all pissy about touching gloves and had the "I'm gonna kill you face" even during press time. I knew Holm was gonna win this. It just surprised me how easy it looked for her to knock her out.

It seems like Bellator was hoping to make some hype off some popular names but it backfired badly. Kimbo is just a joke but they had a good shot with a Shamrock/Gracie main event. Too bad it's like 20 years too late.

Sure lots of people tuned in but from what I've been reading people are not happy about their time being wasted. They think Bellator is a joke and desperate for UFC left overs. They're gonna need some good fights soon to get over this embarrassment.

I enjoyed it. The main event was a huge let down, but Kimbo/Dada was really freaking funny. I'd tune in to a rematch.

If they're gonna do freakshow fights they should at least get people who aren't about to drop dead from a couple rounds of fighting. I doubt any promotion will wanna risk putting those guys on the air anymore, except maybe WWE for a laugh.

We wont see Dada5000 again, Kimbo will no doubt be back.

I'm seeing reports of 2.5 million viewers, witch is very high. The event was a success, they are toeing a line right between WWE and MMA, it's working out for them and I enjoy it, despite my feeling of guilty pleasure.

Rampage just called out Titties (Darrel Schoonover) on the MMA hour, so if that comes to fruition, I will definitely be tuning in.

Well they are kinda doing both. Only the big names they have for legitimate contenders is limited, perhaps Benson Henderson will help change that. Fighting him could really help boost the profile of some of the less known guys.

I hate to say it but I think they need a Joe Rogan for the commentary. He can be a bit over the top but he's sincerely enthusiastic about the sport and he knows what he's talking about. Too bad Jim Ross is doing boxing now he'd be perfect.

I didn't catch the first two rounds but I saw the flying knee replay, not sure why that was reversed. From what I saw though I think Bisping deserved to win. I like Silva but he didn't seem to be taking it very seriously. I don't like Bisping but he wanted it more and he put in a lot of effort.

The first 2 were all Bisping, stunned Silva pretty good in the first, and dropped him in the second.

The knee situation was bizarre. Bisping was trying to get his mouth piece from Herb, and thought, for whatever reason, the action had been stopped. Or maybe he was just pretending, thinking Silva wouldn't hit a man who wasn't paying attention. Then the big knee hits, but the horn sounds before he hits the ground. Essentially, he was simply saved by the bell, but the mouth guard and celebration by Silva and his corner made it confusing. Fun match, but Silva needs to think about things a bit.

I don't know it's post ped Silva, or the leg break effecting his confidence, or just old age, but he has taken a huge plummet since that leg break. Obviously loosing a close decision to Bisping is not normally a sign to hang them up, but Silva is kinda a special case.

I think he needs to retire and probably should've a couple fights ago. He still dances too much, people aren't intimidated by his gimmick anymore and he doesn't move like he used to. The blood is in the water and the sharks are circling.

Put a shark tank directly underneath/ surrounding the Octagon, remove the outer ropes/ cage surrounding it, and instead of these regular Fighters, get a couple of guys off the street {outside the Arena somewhere} who are engaged in a road rage confrontation and are ready to rip each others' heads off.

To spice it up a bit, let them keep their tire irons during the match; this will come in handy once someone gets pushed into the shark tank.

Wow I didn't expect Diaz to win. It seemed like Conner just shutdown after that first clean hit to the face. Also wow Holm lost didn't expect that one either.
