Wow, these are okay games, but they didn't do much new. Super Mario Galaxy simply introduced an interesting engine, and Twilight Princess managed to get delayed enough for me to question if it was to ever be released.

Super Mario Galaxy is one of the greatest platformers of all time.

Yes, good point Tenser, you don't need to be able to produce something better to form a negative opinion.

Example:
I don't think Halo is particularly enjoyable, but I cannot make a better game, so that makes my opinion invalid? Of course, according to a good portion of people, my dislike of Halo is invalid because so many people liked it.

Well only Tenser is claiming that innovation is a requirement of best game. People have been jumping on platforms since the 80s but we don't dismiss newer platformers for copying Mario bros(or do we?).

I have said that innovation should be one of the prerequisites for a best game of the decade.

A fun, highly engaging, great game does not have to be innovative.

If a game is good, it doesn't need to be new, but if something is supposedly so great, I'd expect more than the tired, old formula that's been around since before Doom. Like I've said in some thread here, sometime:

No, my point is that if your list would be lame, how would you recognize a good list, and what qualifications do you have to say WOW doesn't belong at number 1? You said yourself that if it was up to you it would be lame.

You're still saying the same exact thing no matter how you phrase it. So basically since I haven't played every single A title I should just roll over and accept it.

If your movie would be lame, how could you recognize a good movie, and what qualifications do you have to say what movie should be #1?

"Oh, FOX news said all the republicans are right and all the democrats are wrong. Since I can't create a better newscast myself it must be true!"

What happens when there's two conflicting lists? Should I automatically believe both are true since I'm not allowed to question the choices made on either or does the latter list super cede the prior?

I have stated that I don't think WoW or Twilight Princess should be on the list. (I have played WoW and own Twilight Princess.)

You asked me if I could make a better list. I said no because I don't own a 180, 360, PS2, PS3, or GC. (I have not questioned any games listed on those systems.)

You then came back and said that I wasn't allowed to critique the list because I couldn't make a better one. I, of course, mocked this opinion as retarded.
