Good points, DB. Also, don't forget that if the fight took place anywhere within the timeline of the Lord of the Rings trilogy Frodo (even though he would be hesitant to use it) would have the ring's power of invisibility on his side.

GG is right, Viggo is great actor. At first I didn't like him as Aragorn but he really owned that role by the end of the movies.

I believe the quote was... "My friends, you kneel to no man." ...And no matter how many times I've watched that scene I always have to fight the urge to jump up off the couch and cheer.

I think that Frodo would win because he has the Eleven cloak,so Luke has The Force,but who's to say that an Elven cloak can't block The Force? And he has Sting (the sword, not the singer) Harry Potter would get slaughtered by both of them, because without his glasses,and he WOULD lose them, he's nothing (not that he was anything before) also he's a bit of a weenie.

Nah I don't think that quote is right. I've been googleing different versions of that and not finding anything. I don't wanna have to load up the movie but I guess I'll have to if no one can remember it.

Poor Cao Bao, always getting a bad rep. Sure he was a cowardly moron with no personality but he wasn't all bad.

I never really liked Luke Skywalker, I though he was too whiny and weak willed.

I'd like to see more Star Wars movies too but I think George Lucas is focusing on his Clone wars animated series now. He's trying to get a new generation hooked before he releases more movies(imo). Even the new Star Wars MMORPG is set in that art style.

Actually, you are correct DB. I slightly misquoted the line in my earlier message. The line that Aragorn said (and I verified this by watching the actual clip from ROTK) is...

True. Other than being a completely worthless idiot with no ability to cultivate land, train armies, boost morale, fight in battle, or score with the ladies, he was pretty cool. On the other hand, he had a lovely singing voice.

If Sting was there he would first mesmerize everyone with his musical talent, the lion would lay down with the lamb, all the enemies would discuss their difference rationally and ultimately become friends, and then if necessary Sting could wipe them all out with his mad knife skills he learned in the Harkonnen clan.

ROTJ is my favorite Star Wars film completely because of how powerful Luke becomes.

I think you're right, but I also wish that he would make more. I would love to see an older Luke training Jedi younglings.

Me too. Every time I watch the series, I am amazed again, at how I am still so emotionally effected by it. Great stuff. I also think it's rare to watch a movie that is so good, it makes you want to immediately read the book again.

Good point. Also, most opponents would run away because they would know you, don't mess around with a Demolition Man. I mean heck when you think about it, he's a walking nightmare, an arsenal of doom, he kills conversation as he walks into the room. He's a three line whip, he's something they ban, he's a walking disaster, he's a demolition man.

Cao Bao is a character in the Romance of the Three Kingdom games (as well as a real life historical figure I believe). He is made fun of in the games because he hasa almost no skills in any area, and is nearly a completely useless character.

I think magic is stronger in most cases, as you have to generally be in range to hurt someone with the Force. With magic you can just curse someone or something and they might kill over.

From what I know he was a real person but most of the info about him is made up. I'm not sure why they made him the worst character in the history or RotTK but he was. When I used to play the second game I'd behead Cao Bao whenever I captured him, put him out of his misery.

It's hard to say which is more powerful but magic has more variety. Don't forget Darth Vader was able to force choke someone from light years away, I think that beats the range of any magic I've heard of.

Obviously LOTR, in HP they have these little wands and they have to say stuff to get them to work. No one from HP could touch Gandalfs power.

Not to be totally dorky but I think that was specific to Saruman. I forget the exact name but wasn't he known as silver tongue or something similar? I know his voice was a strong magic and the hobbits were warned to avoid listening to him. I don't remember any other characters having that distinction.
