@ Joe, I think there is a light tone here, but some of us (myself included) are very interested in this topic.

I love hearing about a lot of different things and unexplained phenomenon. Without a doubt, I believe there is more out there than what we see on the surface, or at least more things out there then have been seen by the general public.

I think there are some scammers out there, but I also think that many people have had real experiences with the unexplained (again I include myself in this as I have experienced some interesting things in my time), and I am curious about this. I don't think I have all the answers, but I am interested in thinking about these kinds of things.

A lot of it may be all in fun, but I think these are interesting things to discuss.

I wasn't trying to say that your guy copied this movie, I was pointing out how most abduction cases share similarities. Either they're all just copying each other (willingly or subconsciously) or there is something going on.

But, I will say that I don't believe ANY eye witness accounts unless it can be backed up with proof like a video or a body, ect. As sincere as someone may be there is a very good chance they're making it up for any number of reasons.

You should see Fire in the Sky btw. I really liked it and it was based on eye witness accounts(I think it was 5 guys, 1 was taken). It's not intended as fiction, it's supposed to tell the story of the people involved. Of course some details were changed when it was made into a film but they did write a book about it in 1978(making this before the guy in Africa).

The Church failed to provide answers which I, personally, find acceptable.
Science has done no better, no matter how complex the equations.
In fact, the ancient civilizations were known to have no separation between the two...

Now I only believe in VIDEO GAMES, and ALIENS.
(They are listening through my implant so I have to acknowledge them),
They frequently visit R.U. themselves, particularly the larger ones with the elongated fingers - who rack up the highest scores - didn't you know?

P.S. R.U. is the best, since nowhere else is there positive feedback like this.

Assumptions:
Aliens exist
Aliens exist in our time
Aliens can come here
Aliens do come here
Aliens have basic human motives - kill, befriend, mock, teach, steal, give, fear, love

Those are all pretty big leaps. For aliens to live in a time period that overlaps ours would either be the hugest coincidence ever, designed intervention or mean that aliens are just running all over the place like cockroaches.

And to assume that aliens have figured out how to travel faster than light but have not come up with a reason for doing so that isn't in a bad sci-fi movie from the 50s is silly.

Plus, well, they are alien. That means everything about them will be alien to us. Including their thoughts and motives. They would not look anything like a human wearing a rubber mask. They will not walk on two legs. If they did look anything like a human or like typical alien in Star Trek then I would seriously start doubting evolution and start leaning towards intelligent design.

I disagree Kong. Aliens don't have to be different. Maybe our body design is the ideal(walking upright on two legs). I don't think it disproves anything if they look like us in some ways.
Now if they all happen to be wearing crosses and praising jesus the yeah, I'd doubt evolution too.

I agree DudeBro. I doubt we would see an alien with dinosaur-ic proportions or even an underwater being with higher intelligience. A 'bi-pod' is the most evolutionary sound idea. Maybe star trek had it right where all aliens have human proportions.

You are right, if there were aliens they don't have to look different. But I thought evolution taught there is no ideal species, or ideal structure to a species. In evolution there is no sound idea's...and evolution is not supposed to stop at a certain species. In all honesty humans are very far from ideal when it comes to evolution. Every one of our major sences is very sub-par when comparing to the rest of the animal kingdom.

About seeing another species with more intelligence than humans...thats very hard to put a finger on. Some scientists say dolphins are smarter than humans. We couldnt use the regular old human method of problem solving/language to solve this. Insects are more intelligent when it comes to nesting, many species are more intelligent when it comes to migration, etc...

As I said before, most aliens would not be out to kill or destroy. Instead, they would want to either inhabbit, make scientific discovery, or offer some form of diplomacy. However, there is little likeliness that aliens even exist.

In human history when we set out to explore a new place it has typically been to rape and pillage. Completely out of personal interests.

I think with the sheer amount of time and space that it is very likely that aliens exist, existed or will exist. But also because of the vastness of time and space it is very unlikely that humans will ever meet them.

I think that any civilization whose has unified its own stellar system and who has acquired interstellar travel capability would be morally evolved enough to not to attack other systems.

You may wanna believe all that mikman but there is no way of knowing unless we make contact and learn about them. We can not just assume they will follow the example of humanity. They might, but again, we have no way of knowing until we meet them.

I think that Aliens will not follow the "We just want to destroy your planet!" model that people believe in. However, they may want to use us as slaves and conquer our planet. So they may just be out to enslave.

I didn't read all the posts yet but I will, I just wanted to get my 2 cents in on this topic. I believe that there are aliens, I mean there has to be. People would be naive to believe this is the only planet in the entire universe with life. But as far as out to kill or out to save, until they really come and visit there is no way to know for sure.

Well like Kong pointed out it's possible aliens exsist but it's also very likely that they are already long gone or they aren't even around yet. There's no way to guess where they are along the timeline, they might be primordial ooze still or they might've blown themselves up and left no trace.
