Wolfenstein was a break through game but it also doesn't deserve to be considered best game ever. Have you played it recently?Doom stands the test of time better but even that is pretty limited and boring by todays standards.

Like two years ago, I was at a thrift store and saw the original strategy guide for Doom and just had to buy it!!! I still have it and I also own 'Doom 3: Collectors Edition' which has Doom 1 and 2! Its cool because the guide still helps!

Why buy a guide when you can go to a site like Gamefaqs for free? I guess it's a cool nostalgia piece and it might have some cool artwork but other than that I hope you didn't pay much for it.

I guess, but it did establish the Genre, which is the most dominant
genre in modern video gaming.

50 cents (thrift stores are cheap like that) Also, I dont buy guides for games on or past PS1, like you said, its nostalgia

Well for 50cents I'd buy it too. I like reading through strategy guides if they're well made or at least about something I like. Doom will always be awesome.
