QAOP Spaceman also said TK2012 was a huge pain with him, harassing and arguing. I've also noticed both TK2012 and PP on the scoreboard at MARP for many of the same games, also soccer and racing games, just like on here. I suppose we should either privatize or delete this thread, since it's public and he will be back.

Facebook makes money by selling your identity to the highest bidder. It is kind of creepy how much they know about you. They sell your information to advertisers for the sole purpose trying to alter your opinions or buying habits. This is so effective that it is part of the reason Trump is president.

The stock market values the average Facebook user at about $100 total - over the user's entire lifetime on the site.

By far Facebook's most valuable users are from the USA. On average Facebook makes $14 per American user per year from selling thier information. Facebook wouldn't have to collect your information or show you advertisements if Americans would just pay $14 per year. The rest of the world is worth an average of $4 per user per year.

Anyways, you are worth $14 per year to Facebook. If Facebook screws up they have employees that are paid a decent wage to listen to your complaints and try to fix your problem. It is someone's paid job to listen and try to help you. If you leave Facebook they lose money. But not too much money. $14 a year doesn't go far and doesn't give you the right to be a dick to a Facebook employee.

Facebook is very effective at turning their customers into cash. To most other websites you are worth much less than $14 per year. So if you are getting more than $10 of worth from a site per year you probably should be nice when you complain.

RU actually loses money every month. You are worth negative money here. I pay for you to play games. In addition to losing money I and a few others also lose lots of time. You are not a dollar sign to us. You are a human. You are a player. Your value is gratitude not $.

People are so used to everything on the Internet being free that they happily sell their identity for $14 and think that gives them the right to be a dick. And yes, if Facebook screws up, then they should pay someone to listen to your complaints and try to help... for a few minutes. But keep in mind all that Facebook has given you and that you will only give them $14 this year worth of your identity this year. Can you think of anything offline that you use as much as FB and pay so little for? If you can think of anything, would you feel ok walking up the creator of it, in person, and being a jerk?

Keep in mind, for a little site like RU, if you haven't made a donation then everything this site has given you was paid for by me or other donors. Someone else is giving their money and time so you can have fun playing games for free. Try to enjoy it and be happy.

Keep things in perspective and don't be a dick.

Just a thought, but an idea to maybe make some money for the site. Don't you basically own the inps to these games? If that's the case can't you upload to Youtube, and monetize some of the better played games that have been done on this site? It's not a ton of money, but I still see some potential in going that route.

But i could help with javascript, css, i'm learning angular 2... In march i could try and start some prototypes designs and propose to all of you if you need it (? ... But don't take my words too seriously, i'm too new here...

And about the idea, given by George, of converting .inp files to vids for youtube, could make a little money from ads

That escalated quickly. I have a feeling he may have been TK2012. Just by the metal slug scores. Funnily enough, I had a similar issue with 2012 and assuming they are not the same he was shortly banned thereafter.

His heads going to explode when he see's my 1-All of Cotton. Yikes.

I had some other things to say but i forgot. Most of the comments covered my thoughts.

Only thing really is, its like if i say, "Hey, Kong. Can you do me a favor and put my dogs outside as i can't make it home for lunch. Leave their collars on the rack when they come in" Then Kong does it but he forgets to take their collars off.

Do you really think i am going to be like, "Kong, my wife (i dont have one but in this scenario i do) came have shortly after. Her meeting let out early but then was called back in to work. She said the collars were on the dogs and didnt have time to take them off, can you please go back and take them off and hang them on the rack."

Get real, man. Ungrateful. I didn't have to do anything but I did.

It's always interesting when you see this behavior. This has happened on the xbox and the predictability is always uncanny. Yet, i go ahead with it hoping the outcome will be different this time.

Cool, I'm happy you guys are doing that. I even see one of my videos is up, which is very cool! Though it looks that video will probably make you a 25 cents a year, not the greatest cash cow, but at least I am contributing something.

Kong. Did you do anything special for that video? About 6 years ago when i was bored and doing achievements for Microsoft Cards. I did my best viewed video of R-type. It has like 50k views. I monetized it around 20k views. I've made 8 bucks off it but that's it. It always had popular ads on it. I'm wondering if i missed anything.

I guess its not really a huge issue as i do have plans for YT this year but not video game related.

Could be Galaga is simply more recognizable, and ties in better with retroware like the mini NES.

No. Nothing at all.

1. It is a popular game.
2. For some reason both Google and YouTube rank it as the number one Galaga video. I lucked out with good SEO. There is skill and profit in good SEO but this was just luck.

It has 180K views. Most of them were before it was monetized.
We also have an xpader how to video with nearly as many views but it doesn't make as much money so view count and popularity are not the only factors.

The microwaved hamster video was 6 seconds long. It had around 200K views and made more money than Galaga.
