Re: Hearthstone
I usually don't hold off to craft a legendary. Just craft what I need when I need it.

But you agree he shouldn't craft lower level stuff? Crafting isn't very fruitful so it's easy to waste your dust.

I disagree but I will admit it's just personal preference on what to craft.
I crafted commons and rares all the time until I had full sets of each. The way I saw it is that I'd rather play a very solid all around deck than an okay-ish deck with a legendary card in it. Again, personal preference.

Re: Hearthstone
I don't mean legendaries I mean epics and rare, as opposed to common.

Re: Hearthstone
I do recommend that most players start with a zoolock deck. It is a very cheap aggro/control deck that even legendary players play.
Here is the version I run:
Soulfire x2
Power Overwhelming x2
Flame Imp x2
Leper Gnome x2
Undertaker x2
Haunted Creeper x2
Ironbeak Owl x1
Knife Juggler x2
Nerubian Egg x2
Harvest Golem x2
Shattered Sun Cleric x2
Void Terror x2
Hellfire x1
Dark Iron Dwarf x2
Defender of Argus x2
Doomguard x2
You'll notice their are no epics or legendaries in the deck. The variant I run is designed for early board control and strives to win by turn 7.

Re: Hearthstone
Ironbeak Owl is one of my favorite cards, is that weird?

Re: Hearthstone
I only use it because the damn Sludge Belchers are so prevalent. Most decks outside of Handlock don't run it. There are almost always better options.

Re: Hearthstone
It's the cheapest all class silence card, right? For the price of one spellbreaker you can have two owls. That being said I usually use one of each. I also like to use a brewmaster or two so having a cheaper silence comes in handy.

Re: Hearthstone
Why two flare? That seems oddly specific.

Re: Hearthstone
One could argue that two Flare cards aren't enough.
Cycles through the deck, highly effective against Hunter/Mage/Pally.
Also tonight:

Re: Hearthstone
I get that it's a great draw card for the cost but the other two stats are situational. If your opponent isn't using stealth or secrets it's kind of a wasted slot. Or at least a slot that could have a draw card that's an actual minion or something. That being said it would come in very handy for people using secrets, those can be a real pain in the ass.

Re: Hearthstone
I think the benefit is it's like paying with a 28 card deck instead of a 30 making it more likely to draw the more important cards.

Re: Hearthstone
Exactly, Kong. It thins out and cycles your deck. It also works as a utility card. The one mana cost allows you to use it at any time. The two mana for a card draw 1/1 could be better used to activate the Hunter's shot ability. It's an effective card draw any time you have one spare mana left your turn.

Re: Hearthstone
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's a bad choice I'm just saying it might not be the best choice, especially for someone starting out. Then again I tend to lose a lot so what do I know.

Re: Hearthstone
I mean no offense I swear but that deck seems like the same damn thing I see all the time when I play. Either blizzard needs to add more viable cards or people need to be more flexible with their decks, I'm not sure which.

Re: Hearthstone
There's about 6 or 7 popular deck builds right now. It changes as the game changes.
Currently I'm encountering a lot of aggro hunter, miracle rogue, secrets mage, and swarm shaman.
Handlock and Death priest have gone out of favor in the current meta.
It's a constant flux of two or three decks being popular so two or three decks that counter the popular ones become the meta. As those two or three counter decks become more popular than two of three decks that counter those become the new meta game.
That is how you rank up and play the meta. You try and adjust before the mass populous does. Counter the counter, so to speak. Tonight my zoolock countered everything that was being played. Tomorrow zoo will be most likely be popular and I'll probably switch to my Control Mage or make a Death priest deck to counter all the zoo I'll face.

Re: Hearthstone
I've seen some miracle rogue versions that run that card.

Also, I pulled a second Deathwing today. It's too bad you can't trade cards with friends. I ended up disenchanting it and had enough to buy a Sylvanas Windrunner.
