Don't you remember when that group started? Was bombed with posts. Point is if something like Pokemon is condemned into a private group (it was public) then so should Minecraft.

Well that's a mature way of looking at it. The groups you like got set to private so every other group made has to be too? I set it so you have to join to see the stuff, but that might change soon. Enough discussion about that here, if you really have an issue take it up in the mods section.

Using some stone, redstone, and glass, Tenser made an awesome "disco-like" floor in a room on my lower floor. It's really cool! I'll post a screeny or two tomorrow but it's worth to see in action rather than a picture. Drop by my house (next to Sumo's after taking railway from Cactus Town) and go down the ladder next to the sign that says "Awesome Disco Below" or something like that.

Well, I was going to post some pics through Photobucket again, but this time around there was a really scary - looking new user agreement in Lawyer - speak you had to 'click to agree' to, so I decided the whole thing has become too complex and potentially legally entangling to continue using their services.

Because of this, and before they show up to claim my next born kin as per their legal agreement, I deleted the whole works and shall never use their service again for anything.
Period.

So it's back to the tiny pics.

Here's a couple of slimes that spawn in my basement:

Here we see a regular - size 1 block slime next to a larger {dangerous} 8 - block slime, and I wish I had have gotten a screenshot but I swear there was a 9 - block slime down there that broke into 4 8 - block slimes when hit!

What makes them even more dangerous is a game glitch that sometimes occurs where they can hit you, but you can't hit them for some reason.
It's like the game can't decide whether they're really there or not.
So if you get caught by them and there's larger ones that can attack .. it doesn't end well.

JG.. If Photobucket's ToS is scary lawyer-speak to you, then I hate to see how you'd react to a real technical ToS. Theirs is downright kid-friendly compared to most.

JG I'm sure photobucket just changed or updated their terms of service. They're required to make their users accept or deny it before logging in. But if you really are worried there's other sites to use, just google search free picture hosting and pick one. You could also upload pics as attachments straight from your PC.

Here's a cave I found, nothing special really but the entrance looks cool

This is a giant ravine I found on the very bottom layer of the map. There was nothing there but a lava lake and a lavafall, but it was awesome. The ceiling was so high I couldn't even see it.

Well, thanks to stupid curiosity I died. And then I had the honor of seeing all my stuff despawn just moments before I touched it to get it back. What a tease.

29 gold, 6 stacks of iron, 8 stacks of stone, lots of iron tools.......everything valuable I had worked for up to that point.

So, taking a while off from Minecraft now. I hear we might start a new world at 1.9 anyways.

But seriously, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in making/using a coliseum on our server. I know PvP is currently off for good reason but my idea was to make this place and just turn it on for a short time when needed and agree to not abuse it.

It wouldn't have to be this design but I think this would translate well into MC if we wanted to. I like the idea of it being rounded, as much as MC allows that.

So the layout would be an open space with a strong barrier like obsidian to prevent explosion damage. Then around it have raised viewing areas. In the entrance ways to the fighting floor you'd have chests to leave all your valuables before the battle and beds to reset spawn point. I was also thinking we could have the option to have human vs monster battles, would need a couple monster spawners. I think it'd be cool to have like 2 people vs 2 groups of spiders or creepers. Humans are probably gonna win but it could go either way. Wouldn't be hard to do I think, just dungeon rooms with a door on a switch.

If no one thinks it's a good idea then no biggie. I've just been thinking about it recently and thought it might be a fun project that has lasting replay value.

Well nvm that idea I'm done with that server. I'm not gonna get into it here but I'll just say that guardians friend nullhax banned sumo and I can't play on a server where this kind of stuff is going on. Thanks for hosting guardian but I'm done with it.

So who else wants to host a server?

Let me set a few things straight here. Nullhax kicked him from the server, which I don't condone but Sumo has a habit of flying off the handle at little things. Also, Sumo decided to use my playing with DiscoSheep to condemn me for using my mod powers to "do things that benifit me", and complained that I would use DiscoSheep (which does not affect the server at all) and won't spawn him TNT (which could impact the server immensly and I refuse to do).

It is what it is. Sumo didn't appreciate a bunch of laggy nonsense bothering him while he plays with a broken hand. I'm not saying you guys are wrong for wanting to have all kinds of random crap going on. We just wanna play the game as legit as possible. Since I can't host a server I guess we're stuck with single player for now.

The plugin does nothing but spawn a bunch of untouchable colour changing sheep. Completely Harmless. Funny, even. That's the point. Sumo just proceeded to call everything gay (literally). So what if it gave him lag for like 10 seconds. 10 seconds out of what? A game session that has 10, 000 times that? It happened 3 times today, and that's 30 seconds. Big deal.

Doesn't mean I agree with a kick to sumo from the game, but this is Extremely ridiculous. Just play the game, harmless things should not matter, game altering ones should however. Like giving sumo TNT. That is what the whole stupid argument is over. Just let it go as a simple misunderstanding please, no one wants the drama. Everyone wants to have fun.

Bottom line. Just play the game, and amuse yourselves with the game, because after all, that is what games are for, isn't it?

He may be cool with me but I'm not cool with him. Frankly I'm pretty irritated with him still because of him trying to guilt trip me into giving him TNT because i was "using my powers to benifit myself" I would love to know how many times it lagged and how many times did I ask people to let me know if it's lagging? he never spoke up. My bottom line is I wanted to have a little fun on the sevrer I am hosting for everyone, that didn't affect anything permanently (I even backed up the world just in case it did affect things), and I got the third degree from him for it.I don't have anything against you at all DB but you're the only venue I can voice my irritation to, to possibly get any feedback/resolutions with. You both are welcome to come back. The door is open. But I'm not gonna tolerate that kind of berating from anyone again. I'll just write it off this time and he can play again, no restrictions or malice from anyone. Forgive and forget.

@Cam- The only reason sumo asked for TNT was because he realized server commands were being used. Then people go on to use server commands to mess with him and lag his game. You can't see why he might think that's lame and wanna say something about it?

You go ahead and play it's no problem. Two less players won't kill the server right?
