No more Flash games for now.
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego for genesis is in first post of games that can't be added.
What do you mean Sonic.

Re: Game requests
Is it possible to get 32x games or Sega CD games? It would be interesting to play the 7th guest or Monkey Island again.

I think we need to pause all requests until after the update.

Re: Game requests
CD games can not work online. One CD is 750 MB. Several games were required multiple CDs - 2+GB. There are probably a few Sega CD games that were only CD size because of the music and if you remove the music from the game then it might be small enough to be practical online but that would be a lot of effort for a couple crappy games.
Actually the beta testers will see some 32x games for the first time tonight.

Re: Game requests
lol, the price of the 32x has dropped from $125 to $4.50.
Escape From Monkey Island would probably make it worth it though, I hope it wasn't for the cd set.

I didn't say that. I did say that the next update would be big though. The testers have had SNES for a while now.

Most of them were pretty bad plus there aren't that many of them. Most of them were obviously rushed. I just played the 32x version of Brutal Paws. While the 32x has better hardware than the SNES, the 32x version is nearly as bad as Cheetahman but the SNES version is definitely playable.
Sega CD was the only system to get the sequel to Out of the World - Heart of the Alien. That alone is reason enough to hunt one down on ebay. One of the best games ever and released only on Sega CD.

Secret of Monkey Island is a Sega CD game. Escape is for PS2.
About 25% of the 32x games would not load in the first round of testing. Not too bad.
@Tails. Try this. http://www.retrouprising.com/index.p...t=id;desc=DESC I haven't tested them.

Re: Game requests
I'm really confused. Does this mean that there is a possibility that SNES and Sega 32X games will appear on the site after the update?

Yes, Kong is now publically stating we are beta testing SNES for the next update. SNES is coming to RU if all goes well.

Re: Game requests
awsome, now if 32x is running... how far off could nintendo ds be... or at least advance, although i imagine because these systems are still active in the market than theyd probably be off limits right?
EDIT: didnt advance used to be on this site?

Re: Game requests
Advance is on the site right now. GBC and Advance will be removed in the update. I have decided the system must be abandoned for at least ten years to be retro. GBC and GBA have not.
32x is being a bit buggy. I have a fast computer and some games are giving me lag.

Re: Game requests
Sad to see the GBC games go, but we'll get them back in a few years. The SNES games will make up for it though! ;D
What about those games that were compatible for both GB and GBC (like pokemon silver), will those still be here?

NeoGeo was that overpriced system that basically no one owned. It had some cool games though like Samurai Showdown.

SNES Testers? Were these games only given to a handful of people? I would have liked to help out.

Ah, I knew that it was something Monkey Island, but I guess there won't be any anyways *sigh*.
Still, I know that about 9/10 of all 32x games are garbage, but I only really care for the decent ones.
P.S. Is there any way to know if any certain games work yet? I look forward to turning off my computer in fear after 8 seconds of starting Clock Tower.

Re: Game requests
1991 for a quick guess, neogeo was an awsome systems with some of the funnest games ever made for it. the system is actually perfect for this site due to the fact that virtually all the games are arcade style and have scores in them.
