I personally think continues are ok as long as you played the game from the beginning but kong has the final say =D
I agree with Oasis. Based on the very fact that it is in Score Mode should make that fair in my opinion.
The example of Castlevania was used. The game gets very tough towards the end, and many people will probably get frustrated and shut the game off before they manage to finish, continues or not.

BTW, sometimes we will be taking your word that your image proves you beat the game. If you try to trick us that will be considered cheating and you will be banned from all future contests.
@Tails, does that image prove you beat it, the only way to see that image is to beat it? I'm pretty sure the Contra 30 lives code works.

New, click "My Screens" under your trophies next to each post. Look to the left for an example. Screens in the folders marked "_scores" count. Screens in folders marked "_saves", "_images", "rams" do not.

Press F12 as if it did have a score. The image will appear with your other scores in you "My Screens" link. Before today they would have been in your "_images" folder making them not count but starting today they go into your "_scores" folder.

this image may not count but I submitted the score at the entrence door right before it cut to the credits. this is the furthest I could play the game with my score showing. if I would have done nothing from this point the game would have went to the credits and my score lost forever =D

How about my end game screenshot of Ogre Battle? I couldn't find it in my screens, I'm pretty sure I took an actual screenshot and reposted it on the forum. Would that count for this? I really don't wanna beat the game again but I will if I have to, eventually.
I feel bad to pile on with my issue but I feel it should be acceptable since we accepted it in the team contest but it doesn't show up in the my screens thing that I saw.

I'm sure most people would do the same thing. It's like beating any of the marios with warpzones, most people usually do it. Unless Kong wants to have us watch replays of SMW full playthroughs to be sure. I'd do it if it came up but I wouldn't like it.
Btw it's been a while so I forget how quick this shortcut is. How many levels do you have to play out of the 96(?) or so?
Maybe it could count but as some kind of lesser badge? It seems too easy with the shortcut so maybe it shouldn't count at all. It's not exactly an achievement. Maybe for SMW submit the screenshot on the player select screen where it says 96* or w/e? If we required full completion of the game(including star road) it would be an accomplishment.
