Have you heard Axl recently? He sounds more like a wounded seagull than Axl...and how could you hear me from hundreds of miles away?

I'm moving a lot of the comments from the Christmas thread here, so we can continue in a more logical thread:

I should not be surprised as Nintendo always does this, innovations are its thing. Makes me wonder what would happen if Nintendo and Apple got together? Anyway I have been mostly playing the Wii Sports, my son (age 2) got me the Cars game, I played it a little, but not enough to say anything about it yet. I also have Zelda and Madden that I have not opened yet. This is the first game console I have bought that was newly released, for example I got an Advance last year, a PS2 about a year or so after they came out, so I feel cool.
Brody and Tekka, if you are using the wireless option on yours we should add each other to the buddies list. Also are there any games you can play together online? If not will there be any? Also do you guys know if you need a different remote to play the Game Cube games on it, or can you use the Wii remote and nunchuk?
|
You need a gamecube controller to play gamecube games. But once you start downloading games to your virtual console, you can use the Gamecube controller for almost all of them as well. I suggest a wavebird controller so you can keep the "wireless" feel to the whole system.
You can shoot me an email/pm for my sys #, and wiimail address but I'm not sure what to do with them yet, I've just started playing around with it last night/today. My buddy list is empty, so lonely and empty.
As far as Zelda is concerned, I hope the rest of your family is going away for a little bit, so they'll miss you less. You'll be completely immersed, it's amazing.

It's a must have by anyone?s standards. I also got Twilight Princesses by have yet to sit and play, I think I'll give it a go when a get to the Cell Saga.
I will be getting WiFi just as soon as I get another remote, which will most likely tomorrow anyway. When I do get it I'll let y'all know so we can meet up but until then I'm working on my batting in Wii Sports, man do I suck at baseball....

This is what made christmas day manageable for me. I had parts of my family and my wife's family chillin' in the living room bowling. Brothers trash-talking parents, trash-talking grandparents. This is also the first time I saw my mother and my wife's grand mother play videogames. Having never played a videogame before was something that my mother was proud of... was. I took great pleasure in pointing out that she could no longer say that.
Kraaaaaamer- Just remember, you can't hit the splitter, and it can't fall in for a strike. Just let it go.

Is that not the case anymore? Did you just want me to bring it so you could not play it and continue to make fun of the others who were more fortunate that you this Xmas?

I got Red Steel with my Wii on Christmas, and I bought Zelda yesterday. Both are amazing games, and next on my wishlist (after another remote which I can't find anywhere!) is Super Monkey Ball or Trauma Center.

Fortune as in luck, my friend, not wealth.
We are more fortunate in that we own "revolutions"
Again, my place or yours?

I got Red Steel for christmas from my brother...it's seems fun, but I haven't formed a complete opinion of it yet. I am, however, a big fan of Trauma Center: Second Opinion.
I'm currently most looking forward to Wii Play and possibly Wii Music, but i'm less excited about the second. Play is definitely coming with a remote packaged in it, and I'm not sure about the Music. These are part of the reasons I haven't looked for more remotes. I have two remote/chucks currently and it hasn't hindered my play yet.

Jolly ol' Saint Nick brought me Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, and Trauma Center: Second Opinion. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to play any of them, but I will be sure to give my feedback once I have.
I also got the original Trauma Center for the DS. I can tell you that this game is darn impressive. I am trying to finish it as quickly as possible so that I can play the "Revolution" version. So far though, the DS version is quite fun and very challenging.

Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is a good choice, too. The player selection is huge and they cover every little side saga there is in DBZ such as movies like Tree of Might, (I always wanted to play as Turles) and Lord Slug that some fans don't even know about. The game play for each player is also very unique, it's not the same moves with different characters like Rampage: Total Destruction.
I'm very interested in Trauma Center: Second Opinion and it looks like that?s next on the gaming list. Perhaps I will use my Blockbuster gift card on it...

Befriend me!
For some reason my internet isn't working on my Wii right now, but it is working on my PC that is on my network, as well as the laptop downstairs. Anyone know why this might be?

i had to change some of the configurations on my router for the Wii to recognize it. I don't remember what exactly I did, but the Wii's troubleshooting site walked me through it.
I'll post exactly what it was later today if i find time.

Who has played the DBZ game already? I don't want to know any of the particulars, but I must know if it's possible to change the spoken dialogue from English to Japanese. Can you? Please, say that you can (but only if it's true)!
I will probably start playing it soon, but I am torn between all the new games that I got and finishing "Twilight Princess". Oh, what's a gamer to do?

I already did all that junk. It just kind of stopped working, but now my wireless net on my PC won't work either, so I guess it is related. How do I do a wired connection, since there is no place to stick an ethernet cable?

I'm almost positive that the answer is no.
I got to say that when not fighting the game looks pretty bad. And the mouths are way off. I thought that at this day and age the developers would have gotten past that, o well. That and the game needs more darn cut scenes, the narrator just don't cut it!
I say finishing "Twilight Princess" would be best, it's hard to get psyched for two different games at once. But then again you may want to switch it up a bit here and there, that?s what I'm starting to do, it helps me to not get TOO committed to a game.

I prefer to focus on one game at a time as well. I sometimes find it difficult to remember where I was or what I was doing when I return. Also, it takes a while to get the "feel" of the game back and to get back into the game after stopping it for awhile.

I am balancing Zelda and Red Steel. It works, if for no other reason than the fact that they are so different.

There's an additional accessory that you'd have to purchase. It plugs into one of the two USB ports on the back of the console and has an ethernet cable on it. I have no idea how much it costs, but I've seen it around a couple of times.

My Wii works on the wireless, and now my Tivo can't connect...
Trak you'll have to restart everything, and you may try manually entering you server location, instead of having the Wii search for it. Can it find your connection, but just can't connect?
